Looks like we're going to be beaten by another negligent former manager. #StevenageFC has appointed Paul Tisdale as First Team Manager. ✍️

Solid league two manager but a crap league one manager. Shouldn’t have ever been in the job here

I have a feeling he'll do alright there. Garner, Tisdale and Barton have all done well wherever they've managed "apart from" Bristol Rovers haven't they?

He has a very good L2 record tbf to him. I’d have been open minded to him this season, but not at L1 level where is record is awful.
He will do well at Stevenage, they’ll no doubt be looking long term and he won’t have the expectation like Rovers or MK Dons of promotion so will have more time to build his philosophy and team

I’m surprised he didn’t go into managing a branch of a stationary manufacturer, possibly in Swindon or slough. His website reminded me of a certain famous manager of a paper merchants www.paultisdale.com/Simply the best!

Why are we so crap with such a pathetic ground? Is it;Vision,Ambition ,Money, leadership, structure that are missing or are we simply destined to be playing the likes of Sutton and Harrogate until I die in a stadium of tents?

Well we won't be playing the mighty Forest Green Rovers again in a while (reverse fixture aside). They are destined for League One....

I don't think any of that is missing, but they aren't in sync. The amount of money we've spent on plans, courts cases, etc could have paid for at least one or possibly two decent stands. What we've done is get too ambitious for the funds available moving from one new stand to a complete rebuild, to a new build. We have been stuck in limbo since the Eastville fire. I just want us to make a decision (a realistic and costed one, not reliant on third parties a la Sainsburys or Opel) and stick to it.

I thought Tisdale would have been the perfect fit for us but I could not have been more wrong.
Football under him was dire and the more I heard and read his comments, the more I realised he was well lets say eccentric.

He was out five minutes after criticising the club and a few weeks after he joined. He wasn't given the same time and opportunities as Garner and Jailbird.

Very true, Joey is Wael's very own special one.

As opposed to the one we now have who burns white sage incense in hope of banishing negative energy at the training ground, lead the players onto the pitch for a 'barefoot grounding ceremony', claims he's doing it for charity and been sent here to help after a visit to church?

Yep, I knew what to expect from Barton and never wanted him anywhere near the club but I did think Tisdale might have been better, as everything looked right. In retrospect perhaps Garner was better than either of them.
