Had it been the other way round and Conlon was the one who flipped out everyone on here would be praising Finley. Not sure they would, it would probably be the opposite and fans blaming Barton for turning us into a team of cheats. Although Finley's got to learn fast to ignore it or over react as we can't afford for him to come back for another couple of games before being sent off yet again for retaliation. No it wouldn’t. It’s happened plenty where we’ve got a reaction and we’ve loved it. We’re no different from any other fan base

In fairness I don’t think Matt Rhead is a much nicer bloke than Barton, or certainly not on the pitch anyway. I’d celebrate seeing Rhead being sent off any day of the week.

what like our bloke throwing himself to the floor to try and win a penalty. We do as much as other teams Had it been the other way round and Conlon was the one who flipped out everyone on here would be praising Finley. No many of us would not. If Finley lashed out it is correct to give him red. As others have said, the congratulations offered to Conlon after the red card suggests that Finley was targeted. If neither ref nor linesman saw a stamp (or whatever it was) they cannot take action. But the evidence shows that Finley was targeted somehow (even Finley would not lash our for no reason) and at best that is gamesmanship, and could be called a lot worse. Of course we are not allowed to criticise DC on this forum but I think this is what he was referring to in his post match interview when he said that Port Vale did a 'professional job' i.e they used gamesmanship as a deliberate tactic which is very sad to see and I am afraid that DC has to shoulder his share of the blame for that. I don't want to see it from Rovers either - I would rather lose.
