Yep but did Buckle have 7 red cards in the same period? At least Joey's team has more fight! Talking of fight I seem to remember a "fight" in the tunnel involving Buckle. I suppose ex goalkeepers are still allowed to use their hands and become a hero whilst managers even cleared of alleged violence are by some deemed a thug

Pinned him against the wall but no fight.

I see those two seasons bearing eerily resemblances to one another.
Obviously the relegation and confidence that we’re going to go back up preceding it. Then there’s controversies surround the managers personality, the ‘ageing’ senior pros that both sides relied on, the injury crisis that both sides faced.
Another similarity is the recognition that there were good players and good signings made in each squad. For Buckle we had the likes of Carayol, Smith, Brown, Matt Harold was decent as well. This years the likes of Evans, Finley, Belshaw and Connor Taylor.
I just hope we finish higher than 13th this season and that this year precedes a steady rise, rather than a steady decline.

Does it keep happening or was it a one off? Answers on a postcard please

Annd what did we do then?
We sacked the manager and got Mark McGhee.
We had a new manager bounce. Over 12 months he was worse so what did we do?
We sacked the manager and bought back John Ward.
We had a new manager bounce. Then we started slipping down the table and moved him aside when the window closed.
Do we have to do this again?

We had a new manager bounce. Then we started slipping down the table and moved him aside when the window closed. Do we have to do this again? I agree. For all his faults and my criticisms, despite the performance of the team being well below par, from a footballing point of view I would stick with him for the sake of maintaining as much stability as possible. Granted he himself is not the most stable of characters, but I don't trust that we would make an appointment mid season that would be effective. We proved that twice already last season.
