It's just bizarre how fascinated they are with us. Far more on there about us than on here about them, yet we are nothing to them any more, apparently. Not even a rival. So they discuss this endlessly on OTIB.
It's like Nottingham Forest fans getting apoplectic about the progress of Notts County.
Maybe they also do that?

I’m fairly confident in my own mind that we’ll be playing Bristol City in league one from season 2023/2024. Every likelihood they’ll be starting next season with a serious points deduction from which they won’t recover - they’re bad enough as they are and struggling on a current level playing field.

Something I've been saying for a while. Despite the gap between us (and there is one, let's not get deluded) in terms of football it only takes a season to change that. Whether it will happen, who knows, but it's not unlikely. Off the pitch, 2-3 years and £100m would do it too. 😀

If Landsdown really wanted to get them to the Prem surly with all his billions they would be there by now, I just think he's more interested in the egg chasers, maybe I am wrong it has been known

sorry to burst your bubble chaps but there will be no points deduction for us. don't get me wrong we are having a poor season and im still not sure on Pearson, but i except we are rebuilding with alot of youth which will take time. The problem we have is keeping the young guns, Alex scott at 18 is one of the best players i have seen for a long time at the gate but already the vultures' are ready to swoop. Same as semeyo.im glad we are going the youth route as my god have we wasted money on some rubbish. If we keep the young lads and that's a big if, sorry to say chaps but i feel we will have a good season next year so you boys need a big catch up.as i have always said on here before i miss the bristol derby as nothing comes close for me and never will.

Trouble is you’ve always been a selling club so often like us every season is a rebuild to some degree in crucial areas. Your defence has been poor in defending set pieces especially and you’ve certainly struggled to take your chances up front. I’m not sure everyone has faith in Pearson to buy the right players and progress that youth to take you forward. Time will tell but us oldies certainly can’t wait for another derby day. It’s a shame we arent both still in the cups as I wouldn’t bet against us turning you over right now with the way we are playing

Miss the derby days too - You mention youth but to compete in the Championship you will have to spend on quality. It appears as though the wage bill there is crazy and running at such a loss, even with SL's fortune, cannot go on indefinitely

Out of interest and I'm sure you would know better than me but what makes you so confident there won't be a points deduction ? A number of my red friends have said the same but surely 'that pesky covid came along and stopped us selling a player for £20m' isn't a defence of spending thousands of pounds a week more than you bring in ? I thought the whole point of these rules was to stop exactly that ? I'm with you on the derby days though, nothing quite like a proper local derby and not the fake Forest Green or Cardiff rivalry we both currently have

Couldn’t just give him a verbal hammering and see that he’s sent on his way by the nearest steward. Easy 8 on 1 there, a cowards trick.

Not just City, because it happens up and down the country all these wannabe's who think they are tough. When you see what is coming out of Mexico this morning, I bet they would sh** themselves in seconds

It just takes a good season for us and a poor season for them .

Your as deluded as Garner & Widdrington were for us last season if you think a team can survive in the Championship purely based on youth. It's odd after spending £m's Lansdown seems to have just lost interest, I guess that's always the risk with having an aging rich benefactor.
