For the last 10? games or so I think we've looked pretty decent, entertained me for the first time in more than a few seasons, and the results are slowly but surely coming in. Yeah thats the way I see it. I said id see how we were come November before judging Barton; I have to admit I was a bit worried during October as we still looked poor, but shoots of improvement are definitely there now Starting to actually look like a hard working run for 90 minutes play for the shirt squad who are actually finding the net and enjoying playing in the Quarters. That's all I ask for.

Also have Saunders and Anderton on 2 year deals. Plus Westbrooke’s contract is up. Westbrooke contract is not up in summer. Apologies, another 18 months

I think part of the problem is Joey’s critics say he’s a big mouth, he doesn’t put his brain in gear before talking, he says stupid things, you can’t believe a word he says …….. …… and then go on to hold him to everything he says. 🤦♂️ In other words "Ignore Joey Barton, he's a clown who doesn't have a clue what he is talking about!' Totally agree! Oh here he is, chipping in with his tedious anti Barton post. Give it a rest.

Oh here he is, chipping in with his tedious anti Barton post. Give it a rest. I will ....once he's gone! Point me in the direction of one positive post to do with Rovers that you've made. Anything, anything at all that doesn't involve you're boring tedious obsessive anti Barton rant. We're all fed up with it. Do something else.

After reading a percentage of these comments then no wonder our youth edge towards following City. Never did I ever believe Gasheads would turn against eachother.... When we left Eastville our backs were against the wall and we came back fighting' over the odds, and we won. Because regardless of politics we got behind our players for 90 minutes. They need us, back them or not they are our Players' and JB is manager

why are we writing this year off? i dont know about anyone else but i have been really surprised at how poor the quality of football is in divison 4 - sorry i am too old to call it anything else. We have been so poor at times that we probably deserve to be well adrift but we are not and that shows that the quality of this League really is - maybe that is telling us something. Some of our players are too good to be playing at this level and its a matter of now playing to our strengths and winning most of the games. i still think that we will go up Spot on. A little run in this league can shoot you from mid table to auto promotion chasers very quickly. Just look at Mansfield, hardly won a game after the first 2 wins this season, but have flew up the table recently Yes but there's a big difference in acknowledging that it's possible to reach the playoffs, as it is for many clubs, and actually thinking we will, despite the evidence of results so far. In other words, just because we can, it doesn't mean we will.

I agree, first time in ages I really look forward to going to watch Rovers, the general play is better and more entertaining, you can see things are coming together and we have a squad up for the fight even when things go against them, they keep going. The atmosphere around me is also much more positive, our fans seem to be much more enthusiastic and hopeful.

Think we all know Barton was trying to boost the squads confidence, or his own ego!! Think a lot depend on how we finish the season. If we finish strongly and just miss out on promotion, then we will at least be building for next season. If we carry on being inconsistent, then it's not been good enough. At some stage, we need to stick with a manager though. As it can take a few years to build a decent side, unless you get lucky. Everytime we change managers, a new manager wants their own players. So we have to try and move players on, before replacing them. The bloke stood outside the ground at the end of last season and told fans that if he can’t get us promoted from this division then he shouldn’t have the job. No excuses or bollox. That’s what he said Think he added if you cant get a team promoted from this division then you have no place in football, or words to that effect. I am leaving my opinion of him aside here but he did say those things and although it fires us up, its not good if you do not produce and the excuses keep building up. I think there is some luck in that the other lot are doing badly too. The team do show fight for each other and we have goals all over the pitch, sort the defence and we could get somewhere

But don’t you think people would want to go to a match even more, given how hard its been ? I really missed the Christmas fixtures as its a time when you can let loose of the confines of family maybe overstaying their welcome. You may be right but given lil old Swindon are getting 8.5k it would seem we are taking a hit

You can explain how your nephew and his friends choosing City over Rovers is because of comments on a Rovers forum I haven't been on otib or similar - but can't imagine it to be a vastitude of love and harmony over there either
