Swindon thinking they’re a prime Barcelona and trying to play out from the back against one of the best teams in Europe… mental. The Garner way.

Swindon thinking they’re a prime Barcelona and trying to play out from the back against one of the best teams in Europe… mental. Yes. Both goals given away. Someone should have told them they’re Swindon, not Manchester City. Why try that against one of the best sides in the World? Truly stupid. Still I’ll expect we’ll hear that they tried to play football! UTG!

Tippy tappy rubbish that destroyed our club. Only time in my life I want a premier team to get a double figure score against a team.

Does it really matter that a team well above us in our league (a team that easily beat us at home) is losing to the Premier League leaders? As though there's some sort of 'told ya so' thing going on. This is a mismatch that proves nothing except maybe that those who profess to hate the Premier League and all it stands for are now pretty happy to use the top team to have a go at a lower league manager. Football eh.

If it was Bristol City owned by Middle Eastern wealth with hundreds of millions of pounds available playing a lower league team in the FA Cup would you want them to lose to every team except a Garner team? I'm not trying to have a go but I just don't get the idea that we'll all suddenly jump behind what is pretty much the worst example of mercenary football clubs just to make a point that isn't really a point about a manager that was useless for us but might not turn out to be too bad in the end. And that was a decent goal in fact.

Turn on the TV and Swindon fans celebrating like they’re winning 3-1, only for the score line to read 1-3. Embarrassing.

Swindon are a horrible little club with a bunch of weirdos for fans. Plus I dislike them even more with Garner in charge.

Well that's an admirably consistent view and frankly difficult to argue against.

I find it really annoying that Garner is doing well at Swindon, but if I'm honest, it's because I find it so infuriating that he can do well there with a chaotic preseason and a shoe string budget, yet be a disaster here. I don't dislike the bloke, I don't even really dislike Swindon that much (I am totally meh towards them), but the whole situation is just baffling and really irritating.

Guess I am weird but I hold no grudge against Swindon at all and would love to have seen them win tonight. Enjoyed the game and they scored a lovely goal - great for their fans. Will be there by 9am on the 22nd hopefully! Off to Boreham Wood tomorrow rather than Peterborough, ground 112 of 115 in the top 5 tiers. Safe travels to all.

I’m not particularly fond of Swindon, but I would have loved them to have won tonight. Surely in the Cup you have to be on the side of the underdog, I thought they put up a good show against one of the best teams in Europe.

Only one team I’d be happy to see Swindon beat, especially with that man in charge.

That's exactly my thoughts on Garner and Swindon. I dont think his Swindon team is all that, its just a really water-poor league and I think they will have a worse 2nd half of the season
