Been having a bit of a boring Sunday and watching some YouTube clips from around the time I started watching the gas.
Anyone able to find footage of this game from around 1998, this was my first long distance away game and went up on the coach and other than Jason Roberts goal all I can really remember is how long the journey was!
Anyone got any other memories of the game?

Craig Hignett tore us apart. Debut for David Lee for us. He managed 11 games but was disappointing from what I remember

I sat there stand for that game, as I had a mate from Barnsley! Cheered when Roberts scored, there fans cheered with meπ€£

That is the one. I was there too. Nightmare of a journey up. Driver didn't have time to stop, which resulted in cramp in the buttocks for me! π I was only a youngster and even though we got whooped I did enjoy the day though and the away following from us was impressive.

I was there behind the goal as a 16 year old. Remember thinking what a sh** hole Barnsley itself was. Think Jamie shore played that day and was our best player.

My only memory of the game is how long it took to get out of the car park!

My memories are of Barnsley being a good team and that it was a very long drive back to home in London with all the passengers being fast asleep the whole way.

Gents toilets were a wall with no roof; very surprising for a top level club...

Gents toilets were a wall with no roof; very surprising for a top level club... That's what makes us a top club, we have a roof on ours!

An element of the Barnsley fans were big, ugly brutes.

Anyone got any other memories of the game? I treated myself to a pie at half time, it turned out to be a hot pork pie! It was cooked so hot as I bit into it the jelly ran out and literally burnt my lip! well, you asked my memory of the game. π
