Love him or Loathe him it’s Joey’s first year Anniversary this week. Talking about Joey has been done to death but in this last 12 months it’s been remarkable how the team has been transformed into something that epitomised the Gas throughout my times of following them. He seems to have instilled a real belief in the team and supporters, will it be enough to get us promoted this year? Who knows but one thing, I’ve enjoyed the team ethic come what may. Wembley anyone?? UTG

The traditional gift for a first anniversary is paper.
Some would like to give JB a P45, some may say give him a longer contract - could we just leave it there?

I feel this must be bumped because discussions on Joey are delightful discourses of witty banter, and great for forum spirit.

Ok fair enough when he first came I thought it was wrong after 3months I wanted rid of, but fair play to him things are certainly looking a lot brighter now and perhaps just perhaps if we can win out games in hand we just might make the play offs. So as it looks at the moment I was wrong let's hope it stays that way utg

Opinion based purely on football results.

Wonder how many actually want him gone now? I'm feeling more smug with every good result
make no mistake JB will leave us for a bigger club, we won't be sacking him his career is on the up

I'm feeling more smug with every good result make no mistake JB will leave us for a bigger club, we won't be sacking him his career is on the up While I’m with him while the results improve, I think the objection to JB was mainly on character, and I understand how people might think like that, so its far better to respect their wishes and by not antagonising them, we can play a part in building a more respectful forum. Perhaps they might not be so cocky to us if he’s eventually fired, this cuts both ways.

It was never about his football management skills....which I did doubt in the beginning but it does look like he is now heading in the right direction...but still don't think he is right for the club. Do I want him to be found guilty of beating up his wife? Not really because that means somebody (his wife) would have had to suffer for me to get what I want and that isn't fair on her. Maybe the best option is for him to be snapped up by a higher league club but that is dependent on him not losing his rag and getting into trouble again. Time will tell. In the mean time I hope results keep going the way they are going and the football is as good as a lot of it was on Tuesday. UTG.

I think it would be nice if the posters who air very strong views could admit that they are wrong. For now i get what you say i'll take the higher ground.

Surely it's still got to survive his next trial on the 18 March for that to be the case? It will be just our luck that we have made the playoff positions and Wael has to sack him as he found guilty. Only at Rovers Sadly this may come true. Please bear in mind that this prosecution is being brought by The Met Police without the support of JB’s wife. I know technically it’s the CPS but it has emerged they didn’t want to prosecute another celebrity either - Caroline Flack - that ended well thanks to The Met insisting. I don’t think it’s coincidence that the improvement has come since the Stendel trial concluded. Like him or not I have to admire his strength of mind in coming through that mayhem and at least keeping us going.
