Bristol Rovers would like to remind supporters about their behaviour when travelling to away fixtures.
From the club website:-
"There were a number of incidents on some of the coaches that travelled to Leyton Orient last night, paid for by chairman Wael al-Qadi, which have unfortunately resulted in a complaint from coach operator, Eagle Coaches, and a Police investigation.
The Bristol Rovers Supporters Club said: "Can we remind you all that drinking alcohol on our coaches (including carrying it onboard) and smoking are strictly prohibited by law and cannot be tolerated."
"All bookings are subject to our terms and conditions which are reproduced below for your information.
"We thank you all for your co-operation in this."

You should be able to click the image to see the club article but will reproduce it here. Theme is supporters not following the rules leading to complaints from the police and eagle coaches.

Unbelievable! presume seat numbers are allocated on booking so culprits would be known and banned from future travel?

'A number of incidents' FFS. Not heard of trouble before so was this some non regulars taking advantage of the offer and probably claiming their human rights were infringed if they weren't allowed to do what they want. Only so much a steward can do, especially if the problem is caused by a group of people. Coach driver could just stop but reading this I can only guess this would have inflammed things

This might well be the end of free coach travel after mindless idiots have let our owner down good and proper. Obviously, the club can do without these so-called supporters. Are there no checks prior to coach boarding? Such morons will cost the club financially!

Cant anyone do 2 hours without a fag or a drink.... If they really can't surely they can find their way there on a form of private transport where they're ok with this sort of thing.

You can’t have a beer on a bus? Really?
Killjoys win everything these days.
I can understand ecigs - I mean, they smell nice, have no noxious fumes but it does give a chance for some people to get a bit of attention by getting upset. It was “passive smoking” before but now it’s just “I don’t like the smell”, but I can see how it does on a surface level affect others if you cloud chase directly into someone’s face.
I appreciate it’s the law, and Wael’s done a solid one by the fans so it should be respected, but it’s disappointing the days of freedom I remember, where the over sensitives were the ones who had to deal with their sh** without stopping everyone’s fun were rightly overruled.
Actual fags, that’s wrong but I remember well coaches where some adults had a few beers and as a kid I quite liked it.

Unfortunately we have our fair share of ungrateful scum.

The law probably doesn’t care if you think it’s a “killjoy”. I believe it’s also illegal to consume alcohol on private coaches aswell…..

The alcohol ban is law so whether you agree or not it is what it is. As an ex smoker I can appreciate those who want an e-cig but they are a bit invasive and assume there was a stop on the way to and from London to get a quick fix. Gone are the days of getting on the coach to Cardiff and dishing out 24 beers and 48 Turkish Delights that my mate had accumulated after finishing his shift at the local convenience store

It doesn’t make it right. It’s similar to man with a gun telling an unarmed man “I’m right, aren’t I” and thinking he’s won the argument, and then getting some giddy thrill because the intoxication of power is evidently a better tonic than a gin and tonic.

I didn’t even know there was a ban, I actually weep at the lack of freedoms being constantly taken. I’ll be glad when I retire and leave, I’m actually off to a communist country which has none of this and people are free by and large to do as they please. I’m sure that will please quite a few people but I can still access the forum. Mwahahahahaha!

This was when it was allowed hence, 'gone are the days' (not the way of obtaining aforementioned 'gifts' for the coach) I was annoyed as I don't like Turkish Delight..... no doubt someone will claim I'm a food racist. For the record I hate mushrooms and olives
