I liked him with us, always seen something in him and wanted him to play more games. Maybe he was just a bit young back then and hadn't reached his potential. Fair play to him for this season. We need to keep him quiet. One good thing about the results Last night is that it takes a bit of pressure off this game. A point wouldn't be a bad result. Agree, I would like to have seen him given more chances with us. I've just done some bumping to remind me, he couldn't get a look in as Tom Nichols kept getting picked despite only being average.

This is like the Connor Roberts/Mcburnie argument isn’t it. The outcry on Telford purely because of what he’s gone and done since, hindsight eh? He was never getting in a side where Gaffney & Harrison were bagging for fun. And Nichols? Well, he was the pricey one!

It's no fluke he has scored the amount of goals he has this season. Maybe, but he still took way over 70 games with 2 different clubs to start realising that potential. Would he have had that luxury here? who knows. Also we were in a higher league back then so maybe he needed to work his way up from the bottom.

Nice to feel positive anticipation after such a barren two years. Opinion on Saunders seems varied. Not a contender for starting for me.

Has to be the strongest line up. Anderton at LB assuming Grant still not fit. Coutts and Finley in the middle. Then 4 from Anderson 1 and 2, Collins, Nicholson and Evans Think there will be goals in this one. 3-2 Rovers!

Although Newport is obviously the favorite to win I can see the Rovers claiming three points by the odd goal.

Just so you know, I stick a few Bob on rovers to win and usually a player to score. Today I got both Evans and the result. The winnings for the last 3 times I’ve put on rovers promotion. Currently if rovers are promoted I get £2950 I’m gonna keep doing this. Win at Newport and this will look less like gambling and more like an investment. Up the gas and the great thing about this club is that even people whom I disagree with massively I can still enjoy this moment with them. I’d always trust a gashead with a tenner, even Yatton ;-) I wish i could bet sensibly but i am unable to do so and it got me into serious debt, at a very young age. I have made some very good predictions over the last year and if i didn’t have an addictive personality then i would be quids in

I think FGR are up, although I think they will drop more points in the run in I don't think they will drop enough - they might not end up as Champions (Prediction Autos). Mansfield - are a very good and dangerous side, I think Clough is the best manager in the league and I wouldnt want them in the playoffs (Prediction - Playoffs). Exeter - again i think are very strong difficult to play against, not got the best record (Prediction Champs). Personally i think one of these will go up automatically. These I think are the best sides but you know one of them will end up playoffs. the rest are; Newport - I dont think they have enough (miss) Port Vale - starting to fall away, I think we should have taken something from the game with them earlier and we only had nine men. obviously DC is missing and I think their form is a bit meh (miss out) Sutton - Physical team, loads of success over the past few years. I think they will hold on to get (Playoffs) Swindon - maybe my dislike clouds my judgement (Miss) Northampton - dont get how they are where they are, think they'll nick 3rd (autos) Tranmere - not enough, need to be more than difficult and they depand too much on Spearing and Galatzi (play offs) and us - Playoffs, we will lose a few more our form is amazing but we wont stay undefeated forever and because we are Rovers it wont be easy. so for me us, Mansfield, Sutton and Tranmere in the playoffs. that feels exciting to me. So here is the bonkers thing using the form guide as a predictor rather than individual games. I know JB talks about blocks of 10 but if you use blocks of 6 you get a slightly more insightful take on current form and the points swing from each fixture. There are 13 games to play for us, FGR, Sutton and swindon. 12 games to play for Northampton, Tranny, Newport. 14 games to play for vale and 15 for Exeter and Mansfield. Over the last 6 games we are the form team with Exeter. We have swung 6 points over FGR, 5 over Northampton, 9 over Tranny, 7 Over Sutton, 8 over Newport, 2 over Mansfield, 5 Over Swindon, and 4 over Port Vale. If you apply the form table over the next 12 games then FGR, Exeter, Mansfield and us will all have a shot, not just at promotion but winning the league going into the final game, which could be even more likely should we beat the likes of FGR, Northampton and Tranny. However where you get a slight scew is the games in hand that both Mansfield and Exeter currently have over us. It also means that between now and the end of the season we will have to win 8, draw 4 and lose 0 to have a chance of 1st place going into the final game of the season. Am I off my head? Well you would have probably thought so if I said we would get 4 wins and 2 draws out of the last 6 with Mansfield and Exeter in them so its not entirely impossible. Add in the momentum we have, a fairly available squad, so its absolutely entirely possible and feasible that we could have that kind of run. Anything is possible but i have my doubts that we will go unbeaten, obviously i would like that to be the case though.

Any player who only scores 25 goals by the beginning of March should obviously be ashamed of himself!

Ie he has his game every day but I’ve never seen him put more than £20 on a bet. I can take or leave gambling but I think gambling companies are vultures who prey on the vulnerable. Sadly my dads issue is the opposite to yours. He had a big win when he was 18, like the equivalent of £20k today. He openly said it changes his attitude to work and money and kind of chased rainbows every since, so it’s not just losing which affects gamblers negatively, it’s winning too.

Any player who only scores 25 goals by the beginning of March should obviously be ashamed of himself! before the start of this season he'd scored approx 10 goals in 120 games, one season isnt enough for me. When we were looking for a Striker at the start of the season imagine the reaction if we'd signed this guy! Next season he'll end up with about 5 goals over 35 games, which includes a penalties

I don’t gamble but I do invest on the stock markets. Which is a form of gambling I suppose the only difference is you can wait out and try and get a return if you lose something and the money you put in always has some sort of value rather than a neat loss on a bet and you never see it again. I’ve gambled in the past but never won anything big, however I do have a very healthy investment portfolio, not all winners but mostly and the losers will come back over time.
