Apologies if already discussed but I thought this was a great idea. We need to find ways of bringing more money into the club and this will be a great opportunity for gas girls to try and get a few more fans. Well done Rovers ๐

Watching them on a sunday there is often a conversation among the supporters saying it would be a great idea. Can only assume it's been allowed as it's a friendly so probably doesn't have to be at the official home ground. Personally I'd have preferred the game before the main fixture team as if we get a bad result I'd imagine that a lot people will just want to get home. Probably something to do with pitch condition. Cap doffed for the intention. Has anyone done this before?

Almost said the exact same thing to my girlfriend, probably also to do with the mens warmup/preperation too. Hopefully we win, it's a warm sunny day and the club open up the bars etc and give it a bit of a party vibe to encourage people to stay and cheer on the womens side.
I wonder if anyone has done this before too, hope it's a success! UTGG!

Surely the girls should be at home preparing tea at that time of day?

This was done by us when the first Gas Girls were in the top division. I think they reached the WFA cup semis twice? We had around 2500 for a home semi v Arsenal I seem to remember. Helen Done had Rachel Yankey in her pocket!

As you can have a pint at Lockleaze I wonder if you can grab a drink from the bar and wander back onto the terrace. I assume the no drink rule is dependent on the type of game and not the location.

Yes apparently we will be able to bring drinks from the bar down to the terrace for the GasGirls' game (yippee!)

Yes apparently we will be able to bring drinks from the bar down to the terrace for the GasGirls' game (yippee!) If the weather is nice this could be a real bonus for the club (and us), many wander off down the a Gloucester Road for drinks after the game and I think the drink prices are reasonably comparable if you stay behind. Letโs hope itโs a warm night watching the girls play, maybe grabbing some food from one of our new outlets and enjoying a Chardonnay on the terrace and avoiding the traffic as a welcome bonus ๐
