3 wins, seven draws, 3 defeats (12 for and 14 away), so that's 16 pts from 13 away games. ONLY 12 goals in 13 games !!

What's anyone's thoughts on this record ? Who thinks it will improve and why ?

Obviously if we are still hoping for first we will need to get 5/6 wins in the last 10 away - maybe more.

I don't go to away games - but listening/reading reports and looking how we play at home I'm not too optimistic that we will dramatically improve our form.

We don't create much even at home and now with no natural width LDV gone (Martin, Harrison and Gosling - not good enough), it's hard to see how we can turn draws into wins.

Merry Christmas to all, especially those travelling to Torquay. Fingers-crossed we can start winning on the road !

I have been to every away game and I have lost count of how many more times we should have won. In the draws we did more than enough to win most of them (Welling, Chester, Forest Green) but just couldn't squeeze a winning goal - which is obviously the story of our season. At Welling we just needed one goal to go in but met a goalie in fine form, at Chester we scored twice but our usually reliable defence let us down and at FGR we dominated the game but just couldn't force a second goal.

There is no doubt we need to be more ruthless and take our chances but we've also not had much luck in front of goal either. I'm sure that things will click into gear for us once Bliss and Taylor get more game-time together - fingers crossed our away form improves as a result.

If we want to go up, or even make 100% sure of the playoffs, we'll have to improve.

We've played a lot of the so-called easier teams. We now have to play 6 of the top 8 teams away [we've only been to barnet so far].
