Congratulations to Elliot Anderson on his call up to the Scotland U21 squad.
Probably means he'll miss the Carlisle away fixture

Congrats to Billy he deserves it. We got so much strength in depth in that department now we will be fine and it will be a good chance for jon nolan to show us what he got.

FFS and it’s Scotland too, I get nothing out of it Seems like Billy is changing his allegiance a lot of late; wikipedia: "He switched his allegiance back to England in March 2021, making his debut in a friendly against Arsenal U23s on 27 March 2021.[14] Anderson was selected in the Scotland under-21 squad in November 2021.[15][16]" I bet Barton will (jokingly) be slating him like he did with Matt Holland. I agree with Joeys stance, you aren't Scottish so why play for Scotland?

Congratulations to Billy - well deserved. How many players have been capped for Scotland whilst playing for Rovers? Not while playing for Rovers but Garry Kenneth and Derek Riordan were Scottish Internationals. 😁

Name of Taylor covers all the British Isles, it's original name originated from France many hundreds of years ago.

It doesn't make me Scottish

Not while playing for Rovers but Harry Kenneth was a Scottish International. 😁 Harry Kenneth? Was that the bloke Garry ate before signing for us? I will NEVER forget the sight of him warming up before the friendly with city. He was massive BUT at midway through the following season, i met him, at Bristol airport and he looked as for as the proverbial butchers dog and was visibly agitated at not being picked, what a season that was

Connolly is an anglised Gaelic Irish name I saw the programme that Billy Connolly made and he traced his family back to Ireland and it was O’Connely. He was at the family plot and said, only the Irish would move to a country with more rain than Ireland. I don’t know if you have been watching much TV Mart but there are some good programmes about him, one is him and his wife, talking about various topics, now and the other is about his history, both are narrated by Billy, i wish the world had more lime him around, he certainly has a way of making me feel no sorrow for myself but then, it’s a fair bit easier being very wealth and sick that’s being not wealthy and sick, not that i begrudge him that as he , literally, turned his own life around and that takes gut, spirit and determination. He is a very good example of making the most out of a bad thing

Surprised Billy's going down the Scotland route as surely he could play for England one day if he becomes a Newcastle first team regular.
