Ah well, he's sacked. Had a nice hat but that was about it. Hat? The bloke is a complete helmet! An unemployed helmet at that.

How come it's so hilarious to mock Tisadale for his ability, attitude and even clothes, but criticism of Barton's extracurricular activities is verboten?

James Bond could be our new Manager? Isn't he busy saving the World? Spoiler - he’s dead If he's brown bread then I'm a City fan.

Unbelievable that anyone thought for a moment he was a good appointment here On paper what he did at Exeter could have led you to believe he would be... then again the palava that followed at MK Dons may have changed that feeling.

I certainly don't mock Paul Tisdale, at the time his appointment seemed a safe pair of hands to steady a sinking ship however the more i listened to his pressers, which were full of 'smart' explanations and theories the more i thought he was never going to inspire a dressing room with that kind of rhetoric, think football management is the wrong job for him and he is more suited to the FA coaching HQ than life at the coal face.

Exactly. Anyone who spouts on about ‘value’ in a footballing sense, is in the wrong job. Sorry Paul, most saw through the bullsh*t a long time ago. You’ll probably just be remembered for brilliant performances - sadly for fans, these were in job interviews, rather than on the field.

How come it's so hilarious to mock Tisadale for his ability, attitude and even clothes, but criticism of Barton's extracurricular activities is verboten? Yes aghast, it’s puzzling. And some seem to have a complete hatred of Tis. His few months weren’t very good but none of them were any good last season, so it becomes even more bizarre. I guess it may get even more puzzling when the result of the court case is finally arrived at. Best to concentrate on the team and players who are doing well and Saturday’s match at Northampton. UTG!

That would be because he’s our manager. So what? This is a forum for Bristol Rovers supporters. Generally the act of supporting a team doesn’t include criticising your own players, manager and staff. You’re free to do so, it’s up to you. I’m just explaining (because you’ve asked) why this forum will take the water out of Tisdale more than it moralises over Barton. The other thing is, Tisdale is a figure of fun because he dresses like he’s in the senior FHM catalogue and uses inane middle management speak. He’s like the David Brent of league 2. Barton’s history isn’t really funny per se. To be clear - nobody ever told you or anyone else that you couldn’t criticise Barton. What happened was a number of posters were extremely anti Barton, anyone who didn’t agree were accused of supporting violence of some kind. When we started winning (after we were told that couldn’t happen as he’s a psychopath) then most of these posters just stopped showing up. I’m happy to hear any of you out and I have sympathy for your position, but I just think that discussion has been done to death and rather than uniting us, it’s going to lead to a “them and us” situation.

Well I liked Tis, it’s a shame it didn’t work out. But we move on. He’d be the best dressed man up the Job Centre anyways.

Perhaps it's more to do with the fact Barton has managed to turn the Titanic around after Tisdale had motoring head long into the iceberg? Whilst most of us have been content to blame Garner for our relegation last season perhaps the real culprit was Tisdale.

The culprit was Wriddlington Paul Tisdale: “I’m not a miracle worker” Paul Tisdale sacked Tommy W gives his “the players are good enough” interview. The players were NOT good enough. Our marque 3 year signing can’t get a game at near relegated Stevenage.

….what, as in ScaraMangan?! A young trainee with the surname Scaramanga turned up at my last place of work, and in conversation he alleged that his grandfather was in the same class at school as Ian Fleming and two other boys called Goldfinger and Blofeld. He always used to have lots of nik nacks with him too. 😂
