no way we get anything from today Loving the positivity… Form tables suggest Northampton won’t be getting anything today

At least James Connolly should know a fair bit about their striker Chanka Zimba. Both 20 year olds on loan from Cardiff having previously been at Blackburn!!

0-2 Rovers victory.
Finlay and Billy to score, with a Belly masterclass to keep a clean sheet.

Apparently Northampton were quoted in the media as being interested in Billy/Elliot during the Jan window, so they are sure to pay close attention to him. Although im sure they would have been anyway after seeing recent games!!

I think we can win but im concerned about the set piece and aerial threat. Tuning in all the way from sunny Bedminster today, Prediction: 2-2. Come on you blues, UTG When defending I wonder if we'd prefer to launch the ball back over the halfway line and push up rather than give away corners/throw ins and attempt to get organized in defending them. Need to be patient and not dive in. Would rather have less possession and not give away needless free kicks. Saying that how many set piece goals have we conceded this season?

I do feel it’s overdue we gave someone a spanking. Let’s hope it’s today. What’s classed as a spanking these days, I thought we did that at Stevenage? Well if 1-0 is now classed as a beating.....

Tough one today - head says score draw but with our momentum and fitness and never say die attitude I reckon we might sneak a nice 2-1 win…..
I’m going 2-1 Gas….

Long balls over the top when we’re pressing and crowding Belly out at corners are the two things I’ve noticed have caused us problems in the last few games. Poorer teams haven’t capitalised but Northampton will if we’re not careful. I’m sure JB has this covered though. Head says 1-1, heart says 1-2 or dominating 0-4!

2-1 gas win will do me. I would prefer the clean sheet to help the goal difference but I’m aware of their set play Ariel threat. Any wins a great win at this stage and if we can continue the winning run especially in 6 pointer games like this hopefully it will have a psychological impact on the rest of our opponents and they will be beaten before we play them !!

At this stage of the season where every game is important, a draw will do nicely. Keeps an unbeaten run going and we will be in striking distance still. A defeat would ot be the end of the world but will put more pressure on the next game to win.
Ideally a win would be what we all want but I think we will draw.

This is the business end now and i thought we looked leggy on Tuesday. My heart says a score draw but my head says , sadly, a 2.0 defeat and only because of their set pieces and us giving a fair few free kicks away. Obviously, i hope to be proved very wrong and that we come away with beaming face as and the away travellers all coming back with huge smiles and lots of songs

Agreed, right now i would take a draw, before a ball has been kicked

If we’re losing with 10 minutes left, I hope someone is bringing a supply of cable ties that will fit around a goal post. 🤫
