Finally a midweek rest. 15 points out of last 18 for both teams, they really have turned the corner. Some good hotel deals so staying up there to hopefully celebrate another 3 points

Aren’t Carlisle in the Scottish league?
Bit of a home advantage when your opponents live close to the Arctic circle

Well, form tells us we have a difficult job on next weekend, but think we all have belief in this group if players now. We wont win every game but feels like we can! Enforced changes might not be a bad thing, whoever gets the chance to come in will want to grab the opportunity to be part of something so good. The Gas Are Here.

Their last 6 home form is W2 L4. Seems they are playing better away from home at the mo, hopefully that will continue

Looking at an interview with Paul Simpson the Carlisle manager, it sounds like they picked up a few injuries against Barrow yesterday, so that may help us a little.

Yep, their skipper and key man jarred his knee and left Barrow’s ground on crutches. Yeah, we’ve lost two key midfielders in two games. Luckily we have a couple of others who now have a chance to step up and they’re decent. St Simmo has worked wonders with our squad since he arrived (he’s a Carlisle born lad) so the odd injury isn’t important. A squad game right, especially at this time of the season? I’ve watched you lot quite a bit over the years; I lived down in Temple Cloud and Hallatrow for many years and always thought you were our bogey team. Even so, I’m going for a draw. Youse still playing on a rugby pitch?

Yes we are and it’s the best rugby pitch in the league. I wonder if Paul Simpson will want to put one over us as he went there from Bristol City. Hoping for a 2-0 win

On the face of it, yes Carlisle are in great form with 15 points from 6 games. However 4 of those 5 wins were against teams in the bottom 7.
Of course they’ve still got to win them and evidently they’ve turned a corner, but I’m wondering if it’s just been a good run of fixtures for them rather than them turning into world beaters overnight. Nothing for our boys to fear here. UTG!

Is that because it’s an international break?
