Credit where it is due
Cant say i wanted him as assistant manager, or manager last season or manager this season. After pre season i thought he was a nightmare and after the first few weeks i thought he wouldnt last 3 months. Never massively warmed to the things he said at the q and a or in the press. Perhaps that is nerves or inexperience.
I think a lot of fans thought the same but in the face of all that and all the negativity behind the scenes and the nerves of the long suffering fans he has got us in 2nd place by christmas. Thats a good performence by him under the kind of pressure he has been under. Lots of changes going on in recruiment, wages and medicals etc which has been very good.
Looking forwards we need everyone to now back the club in terms of new signings and scouting as well as more patience from the fans. This season will be our best chance to go up prior to big cuts next year and that is what we should aim for and expect.
2015 lets go for it

Well said, let's hope that he does get backed in Jan and can sign a couple of creative types.
I really think that we can go straight back up and it's good that some of the people who had concerns about DC/the squad are now being won over, let's all pull together for the next 19 games and see where takes us.

He's proved so far in all his full seasons that he's a good manager. None of those seasons include us , yet. He looked out of his depth last season but this season he's been really good for our club. I want him to remain our manager even if we don't win the play offs because I really like what he's built. For the first time in years I'm proud of our team and above all else the manager takes credit for that.

Odd so things suddenly turn around at Rovers, after Altrincham we suddenly stepped up a few gears, now we've seemingly done it again after half time on Friday.
Whether it's DC or a combination of DC & MS/SY clearly something is having the desired effect.
Not really sure now where we need to add to the squad in January after the last game and a half!

When DC does a push up, he's not pushing himself up, he's pushing the earth down.

Five goals in the last two games. It's like watching Brazil. Not the Brazil of 2014 obviously. Or 1970 to be honest. But I am optimistic at the moment since we seem to be fighting for everything and giving everything. A bit of real spirit seems to have emerged, even if we're flawed and inconsistent.

Regardless of whether he takes us up or not, he's the best manager we've had since Trollope. Maybe even better, as Trolls leant on Lenny a fair bit.
