Guy Branston who was loaned from the only team below us at the time-Aldershot- scored with a header against them quite early in the game and ran over to taunt the Bradford bench.Clearly didn't think they should have released him when they did.Think it ended as a draw.Branston did well at Muff subsequently but was very mediocre for us and very slow. Taunting the bench. Sometimes bites back and leaves you in a bit of a pickle......... I'll get my coat

I remember watching Sparky at the friendly game v Man Utd , even though it was a so called friendly he really was a dirty ba*stard ! You could see he definitely knew the dark arts of forward play.

Proper buzzing for this one, no nerves just excitement.
Big crowd behind the boys, decent game between two decent sides, mind half on other scores at a crucial point of the season, everything you could want come April!
Just hope the sky is blue and the sun beats down.

Not sure how a clip from 4 years ago is relevant now. Managers learn, managers change their ways. We've seen rated managers come to Rovers and then fail. Saw a few Wales games when he was in charge there, got some decent results but the football was very direct. Although with Hartson and Bellamy leading the line you can sort of see why. Let's just hope that in 4 years he's not learnt much. Remember him playing against us. Nasty piece of work when refs eyes were elsewhere. Fair enough getting away with it but he's not my cup of tea..... Milk, 2 sugars if anyone cares. I seem to remember he was brought into Stoke to get them playing better football after the Pulis years? I think youโre right, he was. Then he got them 3 seasons finishing 9th in the PL which shows it probably worked and he was a decent manager. The question now, I guess, is whether heโs still got the motivation, the players, to do it in League 2. Whatever, we need the win, it becomes harder without the full 3 points. UTG!

Just hope the sky is blue and the sun beats down. No nerves? How do you manage that? I have two coping mechanisms for Rovers related nervousness. Drink lots of beer to numb the nerves and put silly bets on the opposition. Unfortunately the more I do of the former the sillier I get with the latter...

If anyone gets a free ticket and is unable to go, I think it's better not to redeem it and the space can then be released for general sale. If it's claimed but not used, the club will potentially lose out because it could have been sold to someone else.

Lets get Clarke (or Grant if fit!) at LB and keep Harry on a wing, with Elliot on the other.

Evans and Anderton out again by the sounds of it. ๐ Let's just hope JB's brave enough to start with T Clarke at LB and leaving Anderson to revert back to the right wing, we could also do with Nolan being fit to play in midfield, or JB really pushing the boat out and playing Collins in the ACM role with L Clarke upfront. Looking at the next few fixtures following this match, Tranmere, Salford, PV & FGR this has got to be a must win game as otherwise we'll have to win at Tranmere or we'll risk dropping out of the play off places.

The game where Guy Branston scored it ended up 3-3 I wonder with Saturdays game would he risk playing at left back Josh Grant

Sounds like Grant has a chance though,I know heโs been out for a while now but was probably our best performer at left back in the few games he played in that position. No word of Nolan again.

Wonder if we mix it up with our lack of goals and missing Evans on Saturday.
Belly Hoole Taylor Connolly Clarke/Grant Anderson Finley Coutts Anderson Collins Loft
Or if just one up top I'd go with LT on the wing and Elliot A in the advanced Evans role
Thoughts?

Must win game for us at home against a team 14th in the table. If you want to get promoted these are the games you have to win. Agree with Yattongas on the first goal. Not sure why, but I'm not feeling confident about this one Lucky you arenโt playing. ๐ This team of winners will bounce back, Iโm sure.
