If the club were theoretically able to sell the ground’s total capacity as season tickets you could end up with the ludicrous scenario when a crowd of 900 people for a tinpot cup game is declared to be a sell out! 🙄 No you couldn’t as season tickets give you access to league games only.

It does annoy me when 'official' attendances are tickets sold rather than actual footfall. I saw a televised game where the attendance was near capacity but was clearly a lot less and parts of the ground were closed. Wonder if the H&S officials get given the actual capacity otherwise they could claim that staffing levels are not safe for the number of people the club say are officially there

They're definitely better off 'allowing' non season ticket holders- the ticket per game price is higher, and are likely to spend more per game on merchandise But then you don’t have the guaranteed money up front which clubs want and need when deciding on budgets / player contracts . Didn't Tony Watola say the season for accounts purposes ends 30 June. The ST money comes in May and June so pays off the debts racked during THAT season.

You may find that if a club has limited capacity but higher demand than places, some things change. Season tickets may actually go up in price. It becomes more a case of a season ticket means you can actually watch all games rather than be in the lottery of trying to get limited potd tickets. Currently a season ticket allows cheaper entry in exchange for commited investment.

Was really hoping to hear some news about some increases in capacity (not just replacing tents with standing). Disappointing if we don’t add at least another 1k seats with all the demand out there. Get a good start to the season and sure it will pay for itself.

Where, for little outlay i.e. it's cost effective/self finding, are the club going to add 1,000 seats? The only options seem to be expensive temporary stands alongside the grandstand.

There is no one better than Glouc cricket for guidance advice and contacts. Last night 7500 capacity next month 17500. They have at least 4 temp stands ranging to a few hundred to thousands . I'm sure a small stand could be extended from existing south stand to away terrace ( restricted height) because of screen. It may only be 200 300 but it helps in current situation.
What about a stand in area behind away terrace ? If we sell 5000 ST'S and at least 10 clubs will sell existing 1200 away limited . We need to do something . Otherwise only 2000 tickets could go on general sell for the CAT A games . And will S.T holders have first pick ( general sale tickets ) ?

I’m sure the club would love to increase capacity for when teams like Wednesday and derby come to the mem, but I honestly have no idea where we could put them. The only available space is the south gap by the south stand, which I understand isn’t big enough for temporary seating.

How can you just put up a temporary stand behind the away terrace, if it was like the present "tents" the grandstand would block fans views, if it was something more substantial it would cost a fortune to construct. We've already been told we can't build a stand under the scoreboard as apparently all the communication/utilities cables run though that part of the ground. As far as Glos CC it can't be hard to put up stands around a massive cricket pitch, plus there's no issues with segregating home and away fans, so stopping entry and exit to them isn't an issue

I have never been a season ticket holder but i do think it’s right that they should have preference. I think our red cousins have a points system, in that you get a certain amount of points for attending away games and that goes towards giving priority. Maybe that would be something worth looking into and implementing as i would feel pretty hatred done by if i went home and away then i would not be happy

How would Rovers cope with season ticket sales if the club were to attain a successive promotion to the Championship?

How would Rovers cope with season ticket sales if the club were to attain a successive promotion to the Championship? Having to make some very difficult decisions. Imagine the clamour for tickets v the Teds

Only 2000 on general sale, how do you work that out when the capacity is 10500 and at best we'll only shift 5000 season tickets?
