Smoke and mirrors! The price for early bird is frozen to the price for non early bird.
Not the most transparent really. Doesn’t grate me too much though - a relatively modest increase compared to most other bills.

I've no idea as purchased early bird prices last year and article clearly states same price as renewal rate last year, which is not true. No problem if they are raising prices but is it too much to ask to be honest about it.

That will explain why I paid 381 last year for adult and 2 u16s family ticket in the Tharchers end but the price is now 401!
Will still buy again (and not bad value, especially if we’re in league 1) but stating ‘price freeze’ when the price is actually 20quid more is going to confuse others as well as me initially.

If we get promoted they are a bit of a bargain, less so if we're still a L2 side!

Also the not being honest about it is laughable it crystal clear that its the same price as last year's,the early bird was a thank you for your support from the club after the year we had just been through. It's an unbelievable gesture for them not to go up as everything else in life has risen sharply.

Doesn’t grate me too much though - a relatively modest increase compared to most other bills. It’s just the way they try to hide it rather than being honest, talk of family etc then they try to hope you don’t notice it has actually gone up. Disgusting. I’d have no problem with the increase by the way

I don't think that's crystal clear but you are entitled to your opinion. My problem isn't the cost going up, it's the lie of the price freeze.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a like for like comparison rather than comparing the early bird price to the late bird price. IMO it’s cynical marketing to call it a freeze. Im not upset about it - they could have charged an extra £100 and I’d happily pay the extra - just calling it out for what it is.
