I'd go Trevor Clarke over Grant at the moment. But it's nice to have the choice. I wouldnt. Clarke has been a massive disaapointment and looked miles off it, was booked and rightly subbed on 60 mins on his last appearance. Grant is just a bit ring rusty, great player and will soon be firing on all cylinders again.

You're wrong by the way. 😁

Strange to pick on him after a big 3 1 win when every single player put a solid shift in. Bit unnecessary.

To be fair he did look a bit rusty, maybe just missing a bit of match sharpness 100 percent agree just seemed to want a second longer on the ball than he had - the PV game was a frantic pace did some strong work but def not as sharp as the rest

The pace of the game was quite frantic, Grant wasn't the only player who had trouble keeping up. Vale really tried to knock us out of our stride by playing at 100 miles an hour but knew they couldn't keep it up. What Grant has over Clarke is that he is bigger and stronger, better in the air. Clarke has pace and looks a good player but I would be worried with him getting out jumped in the left back position. For me Clarke is more of a wide midfielder played in front of a left back. I personally didn't rate Grant in midfield, but got to say very impressed with him on the left side.

Grant has been a good player for us across the season. Players often don’t play well when back from injury, and obviously he struggled today as a result of injury. All was well come the end of the game.

He’s done a job for us in nearly every position on the pitch this season at some point. Struggled a lot with injury but has put in plenty of 8/9 out of 10 performances this season! Massive overreaction to being behind in a game of football

All was well come the end of the game. There was no need to risk him though as Anderton (although had a recent injury too) would surely have been in a better position fitness-wise. That surprised me Barton taking a risk there

He deffo needs a rest. Clearly jaded I think from so many games in such a shirt space, along with the injury.
Deffo rest him for Scunny

He definitely was absolutely sh** today and we were a different team the moment Thomas came on, but he has still been mostly excellent when he’s played this season.
