Well that's goodbye to Newport's playoff hopes. That went quick for them!

Need Newport to get at least a point to make their visit to Port Vale meaningful. How on earth did they do the double over us? Since they beat us at their place they have lost every home game.

Colchester equalise with another ex-Gas....Akinde pen.
...it wasn't a penalty, just tripped off the tongue.
Bugger, Newport now 2-1 down. FT 1-2 At least Newport can't finish above Rovers.

Now Newport are out of contention I reckon just 3 points secures us a playoff spot ( home win verses Scunthorpe guaranteed) . That means we can go gung ho tomorrow!

Considering we're having a good season, our record vs local rivals is woeful.
Newport - lost home and away Swindon - lost at home and drew away. Exeter- Lost away and Drew at home. FGR - Lost Away
Doesn't bode well for tomorrow but I think we'll win!

Let's be having ya FGR.

Look at it this way, our second match record this season v the others in the top ten FGR - playing tomorrow Exeter - Draw Port Vale - Win Northampton - Win Sutton - Win Tranmere - Draw Mansfield - Draw Salford - Win Newport - Lose So that's 4 wins, 3 draws and only 1 defeat. If we win tomorrow then that's 5 wins and the record starts to look quite impressive

FGR kicking off about ticket allocation? Anyone here that can give me an update regarding the situation? They appear to believe we have broken some rules (alledgedley)? Yes, just been on their forum where there CEO has entered the debate. What was the reduced capacity we were supposed to now have, it was posted a few weeks ago on here? It would then be an easy calculation to see if the 777 tickets that have had are 10% of that. Had to laugh that the Salford fans were moaning about the cramped space they had, even though they all had seats. What did they expect, to be allowed to spread out at their leisure in the South stand. FGR also complaining that they gave us 1200 tickets for th home fixture against us and that was above 10% of their capacity. They omit to say that was because they can't fill the ground. Thought it was 9,700? However if FGR didn't ask initially for the full allocation I assume that we're not under any obligation to give it to them the week before a game? As far as Salford I understand they are claiming there were more fans than seats sold plus just the one(?) row of seats separating them from home fans. Not sure I'd fancy sitting that close to away fans.

As regards Salford, thinking back from my viewpoint in the WE there was a stairway between the home fans and theirs in the South stand with a line of stewards on the stairway.

FGR - Lost Away Doesn't bode well for tomorrow but I think we'll win! That defeat at Newport was weird. I went there fully expecting revenge for what Newport and the admittedly superb Dom Telford did to us at the Mem, but we were awful. Great before, great since, but that's football I suppose.

Let's be honest FGR are a tin pot club and as soon as Mr Vince gets bored and withdraws his cash they'll be back in the Southern League. Just look at the mighty Yeovil.
