Forest Green Rovers have been the most consistent team in this division this season.
Losing their leading goal-scorer, Matt Stevens, early this month, has simply delayed their deserved promotion to League One.
Whatever the result at The Memorial Stadium on Saturday 23rd April they have a chance of securing promotion mathematically.
One point against us is sufficient for them to gain promotion. If other results go their way they may get promoted, despite a defeat by us.
Their 700 plus supporters, players and staff will want to celebrate their achievement and will be entitled to enjoy their moment.
As a group of genuine football supporters we ought to have some class and show them due respect.
We might even consider applauding them as they leave the pitch.
That does not mean we don't want to beat them or we shouldn't be disappointed if we don't win the game.
It might be tough for some at the match to take if Forest Green Rovers have managed to beat us by hook or by crook
Of course, the option to be arrogant, condescending and/or disrespectful is available for some of those attending.
Deserved respect is an option that genuine football supporters will probably show.

Absolutely no chance from me.
Not after the ticket shredding incident play off 2015 and the botching about their allocation this weekend including a club official making veiled threats against our club on their forum.
F**k them

Mentioned they were a very well organised and well run club a couple of years ago and got shot down in flames for it, Higgs knew what he was doing at Rovers apparently. No disrespect from our gang but certainly no round of applause for them either, that's for our boys only, never clapped an opposition team off the pitch in 35 years and never would.

A little respect would not go amis.

I'll be very pleased if we force them to put their promotion party on hold for another week.

He’s not saying it is croquet , just if they do get promoted tomorrow we should have the good grace to give them a clap. Up until that point we should give them hell ! 😃

I think FGR are an incredible success story. Village team rise through the ranks to an extent they could be competing against the likes of Sunderland, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Derby County, Bolton, Sheff weds, etc, astonishing and all on gates of a couple thousand! I have followed there rise with interest and they certainly should be shown respect, after we have beaten them!

I wouldn't clap any other team apart from the Gas so why should I clap a club owned by an obnoxious turd like Dale Vince?
I won't disrespect them, or show them any untoward disrespect, but if they achieve it I won't show them any undue respect either.

Same here, I won't Diss them but I won't praise them either. If they go up then they have earned it, but that's where it ends.
