At the end of the game whilst we were all clapping the players off in what was the best (2nd half) performance the season, what looked like a father and son pushed past a fan and said for him to get out of the way (well in other words) and when the fan took exception to being pushed and swore at, it got a little heated with a bit of pushing and shoving, it all came to nothing but why do people have to act in this manner, the fan had done nothing wrong. The fan is a regular and so is the father and son but what if the fan was a new fan coming to his first game, what about that confrontation would encourage him to come back? Certainly not being pushed or swore at and what if he had brought his young child with him, just another example of bad behaviour from some of our so called supporters. It slightly tainted what was a fantastic win.

IF it happened YOU did what? I would have challenged the father to trial by naked combat with long swords in the centre circle, and had I managed to decapitate him, I would have paraded the dying head around the ground as an example to any other potentially rude fans. What about you?

What about you? Bit cold for naked long swords. I'd be lucky to draw a pen knife......

What about you? Probably challenge him to a duel to the death, the choice of weapon would be a wet kipper

Someone pushed someone who took offence to it. Little row and that's it. Not sure it's worth reporting after a 4-0 win. Few extra Xmas beers. Everyone's a bit merry.

Yeah, if you go way back into history (the 1990s) that's how the memorial gates originally got its name, iirc.

Thank you as ever for your insightful and historically accurate information Dr Mr Carstairs.
