In circumstances so would Rovers if cobbler on the other foot. Disgraceful scenes Not sure what you are saying - Northampton's complaint is about Scunthorpe's team selection, not the game being held up by a pitch invasion. I agree with you though that it was disgraceful, but there are those who will argue that it was just high spirits and a release of tension, blah blah blah.

There’s other reports that Northampton have done nothing more than make an enquiry about the rules, which would be somewhat different from filing a complaint.
In any case, it would be a complaint against Scunthorpe not BRFC.
We can only beat what’s in front of us…which we bloody we well did resoundingly!! UTG, the Gas are going up! 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️⚽️

…besides, they can’t ask Aaron Collins to do all that again! His liver wouldn’t cope!

What do they hope to achieve with this? Our game to be replayed? 😂 😂 Points deduction for Scunny? Slap on the wrist/fine for Scunny? Man up Northampton, you didn’t score as many goals against a demotivated 22nd placed Barrow as we did against a long time relegated Scunthorpe who like in recent games were having a look at young players who might be good enough for next season in the national league.

So surely then If the FA do find Scunthorpe guilty of any wrong doing, that’s not the fault of Bristol Rovers. Therefore wouldn’t they fine Scunthorpe? And nothing changes with regards to our position in the league? You can’t punish the opposition.

Watching on sky sports it was clear from the commentary that when they were 3 nil and even 3-1 up they changed their tactics and formation thinking they had done enough it was only in the last 10 minutes did they switch back and try and get another goal so they have themselves to blame

So Northampton want Scunthorpe to be investigated over Saturdays team selection. Scunthorpe have just experienced the worst thing that could happen to any club by losing their league status as we know only too well, talk about kicking a man when he’s down, I definitely be rooting for Mansfield this Saturday, come on you stags.

My favourite part of this is that Northampton only drew with Scunthorpe!!

If Aaron suffers future liver overload/heart attack problems, I trust Rovers will sue Scunthorpe for fielding a ''weakened side'', a la Cobblers.

Apparently they parked the bus when Barrow scored, thinking a win would be enough. The funny thing is, Northampton were well on top and would likely have scored the goal to send them up if they had been more positive.

Gonna be hilarious when they make us replay the game and we slap them 14-0 instead.

In addition to the excellent analysis above of the players and the starts in recent games - this squad of youngsters had drawn 2 of their previous 3 games (at home to Hartlepool and Stevenage) and only lost 2-1 away at Bradford in between those two draws. Clearly a bunch of players that were playing pretty well for their club. We were just too good and after a slow start, our superior fitness just blew them away. But for the idiots storming the pitch we could easily have scored 8 or 9.

I do remember Northampton complaining about 3 of our back four being 20 or under when were at sixfields a month ago. They said it gave them too big an advantage what with Elliot Anderson being so young as well.
Pathetic. Maybe if they had managed more than ONE shot on target when we played them at sixfields they may have tallied more points.
Losers.

The EFL will ask Scunthorpe for an explanation and when it is given they will accept it - as they did nothing wrong. With 2 exceptions they played the same team that drew against Hartlepool and they took the only debutant off after 25 minutes as he was being taken apart. The EFl cannot get into the position that they are effectively selecting teams or we will have protest after protest. The one debutant on Saturday had been in their academy for 2 years and so was well known to them . Every manager makes selection choices based on what feel right at the time and they do get it wrong occasionally.

Rovers knew before they left the Mem on Saturday that Northampton were planning to lodge a complaint, I see it more as going through the motions to be honest, they don't have a leg, or hob-nailed boot to stand on.

Northampton have denied lodging a formal complaint and have said they would like discussion with the EFL about changing the rules going forward and have accepted what happened , congratulated rovers and are now focusing on winning the playoffs
