Due to health and such I was unable to make Saturday. I settled down with Sky Sports News and loved it.... Northampton raced ahead and I got a bit "oh well at least we got a chance in play offs"
But as the drama unfolded it got immense' I even felt that Jeff was willing that next ball into the net, and when we clinched it he looked delighted. I know he's a big Hartlepool fan but I have a feeling he has a big soft spot for Rovers.
What are your views and opinions if you sadly had to resort to Sky Sports News on Saturday Afternoon?

Yes, he does and I’ve heard him admit it some time ago, “proper club” or something like it istr. I did resort to Sky Sports News, I had it going in the background as I watched it live on ifollow from ...... the Amazon jungle! It was good but tbf the reporter in ‘16 Dickie Davies went wild with the crowd whereas this reporter, Rob Jones was very professional and left it to Jeff S to go mad! Brilliant. UTG!

Like you mate I didn't get a ticket early due to covid and was still feeling crap Saturday. I tried my best to block out the events happening in Bristol and like you when Northampton went three up I almost lost interest until I saw we had scored five, rushed in doors and put radio Bristol on only to spend the next half hour a sweaty nervous wreak, praying the game wasn't abandoned and hopefully Northampton didn't score again. Slightly emotional at the final whistle and gutted not to be on the pitch. First promotion I've ever missed but to be honest 1990 was better for me,do older gas feel the same? Ps Jeff's alright but I don't have sky.

Jeff has a definite soft spot for the Gas and always praises our fans really well.
Like him a lot on Soccer Saturday and think he will be missed massively by proper fans up and down the country.

Not sure he has a particular soft spot for Rovers. He is very very good at making it seem that way and getting you involved. He shows great passion for all the teams in the mix at the top or bottom. Very professional fella and will be missed. Dave Jones is decent also and may well get the gig long term.

Recorded BT score updates. Peter Walton is the ex ref giving the 'expertise' on decisions. Also a Northampton fan. Robbie Savage was loving it as the goals went in as it was 'great TV' Another reason the pitch invasion pi55ed me off as the programme had pretty much finished when the whistle went.

Ps Jeff's alright but I don't have sky. As you it was the only promotion I’ve missed live. My favourite was my first at Southend but tbh we were never really in danger of missing out whereas in 07, ‘15 and ‘16 it all rested on the actual match. And this one must have been the most unlikely, the impossible dream indeed! Hope you get well soon clockend, the last few days may have helped. 👍 UTG!

We are still getting plenty of references on Sky Sports today. #GMSF to message the show this morning. Our final day heroics are up there with Aguero etc! 💙
