Is there a new system to the play offs as I'm a little confused.
An afternoon on the water don't help my comprehension much

Am I ⚓erd, or do it really need explaining...... Or was I in a dream? I know Kate Beckinsale was involved somehow?

4th vs 7th 5th vs 6th Winners of above two ties play 2nd and 3rd in a semifinal to go to the Play off final, winners of that are promoted with 1st place.
I think. IPG

An afternoon on the water don't help my comprehension much Yes there is 1st team promoted automatically to league 2. 2nd and 3rd teams into semi final play offs. 4,5,6,7th teams into playoff quarter finals. Only 3 teams relegated and 4 promoted fron North and South to bring league back to full number of teams.

Format sounds awful.
Keep it simple and just have the semis

Play off system involves 6 teams as explained above. But it’s not new this is the 4th or 5th season of 4 v 7 and 5 v 6 then playing against 2 and 3 before a final play off. Part of the reason why it’s so hard to get out of the league. (The right way that is.)
UTG!

Format sounds awful. Keep it simple and just have the semis I disagree. It doesn’t really change much, other than give the teams in mid table more of an incentive to play for something in the second half of the season. If you’ve had a great year like we did in 14/15 you still get that semi spot and a home tie in the second leg. As there are only two promo spots in a league of 23 teams, this is kind of welcome for a lot of the teams that will finish 6th-12th every year.

Same format for a while now.
The Mighty Chips (Chippenham), sneaked in 7th in the NL South and could win promotion against some big spenders who finished 2nd and 3rd.
If they get in the NL top division there could be a chance to give some good experience to our younger squad members next season, with a loan deal.
Any that were playing North and South to his season, that are retaing should be looked at NL next season.

You can have a great season and still miss out. Will be ever thankful that we escaped first time but boy was it a close shave! Top 10 in that league littered with ex- league clubs desperate to get back to league, that's why i fear for Scunthorpe and Oldham fans ,they may be there for the long haul, then again the likes of Luton give every one hope!

I don’t think there are any second legs anymore, just home leg advantage advantage for the highest placed placed finishers all the way to the final.eg if you finish 2nd or 3rd you have just 1 game (a home game) to get past to make the final, which is at Tottenhams ground this season.

Ah yes, I knew that but forgot whilst typing that post. It’s bit more brutal that way, however it does give teams that have finished higher up the table more of an advantage, which I kind of like. Not sure I’m a fan of them playing it at Tottenham given it’s almost certainly going to be played between Wrexham, Notts County, Solihull Moors, Grimsby, Chesterfield or Halifax. Would have been far better to have it at Villa Park or Elland Road.

Yeh it’s really heavily weighted in favour of the 2nd and 3rd place finishers.Rewards the higher finishers but very very tough for 6th and 7th to get 2 away wins in just 4 or 5 days with your opponents with their feet up if you get past the first hurdle.Regards where the final is played, priority as usual is get as much money as possible out of the long suffering fans,EFL and National League are as bad as each other.

The new format does seem to favour the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd compared to the EFL format, which is probably a good thing, unless you support a team which finished 4th or lower.
