I always get this game confused with one we played in December, which I think was a few years later. I remember it being played on the last Friday evening before Xmas and thinking it was madness to a play a derby at AG when town was full of shoppers and p@&sed up office workers who would have been drinking since lunchtime. Can’t imagine the police allowing it these days. I don’t think the result was good though.

The game you're thinking of was 22 December 2000, the season we ended up getting relegated to the 4th tier for the 1st time.
Marcus Bignot scored after about 20 seconds. We ended up losing 3-2

Seemed like every time they went forward they scored, Beadle definitely got one & that horrible little s**t Thorpe tapped one in. Not sure on the other scorer. Martin Cameron did score a beauty at the end though😩🤣

Keith Millen scored the equaliser.
The only good thing Martin Cameron ever did. Christ he was sh*te.
We went from Hayles, Cureton and Roberts to Martin Cameron, Kevin Gall, Mickey Evans and Christian Lee in the space of a year. No wonder we went down

May have been out the league, but we can soon file this one next too never been liquidated, never had to reform as an LTD company & never had a points deduction for being financially *ed. I would bet they get no deduction.

At worst they may get a 3 point deduction. I doubt it though. They're making huge losses but they're not in danger of going into administration like Derby

Automatic relegation to conference south sounds about fair to me

Automatic relegation to conference south sounds about fair to me If 1982 was now they probably would of gone the same way as Darlington, Hereford etc They really were lucky bastards
