Don’t know if anyone’s seen this yet but I haven’t seen it posted. ITV have announced their plans for EFL coverage next season. This the replacement for the show on Quest with Colin Murray. it will have to be a very good programme to equal that. Despite knowing Colin Murray had his favourites he still ran a good show. (I think come the end we were one of his favourites) www.itv.com/football/articles/itv-announces-presenters-for-new-efl-season

Don't know either of the named presenters. Won't be the same without Colin Murray.

Don't know either of the named presenters. Won't be the same without Colin Murray. Me neither, a quick Google search shows he's a Man U fan usually found on Talksport, she is a Brighton fan on BT Sport. I'll miss Colin's style though.

Great to see both will have an affinity with the EFL ;-) In all honesty, given it's ITV, suspect neither host will actually give a flying **** about football.
Murray had a lot of front, but at least researched stuff well enough to make people he believed/understood the EFL. ITV are charlatans of the highest order and always manage to ruin football, whatever they do.

To be honest with every game on iFollow and the ability to watch highlights online I am surprised they are continuing with these programmes. I am not saying they shouldn't by the way!

I must admit to enjoying the coverage on Quest headed up by Colin Murray. Very surprised ITV have not chosen him to head up this programme, I'm sure it will be the worst for that. Always came across well and definitely liked the Gas. Can remember him and Michael Gray ex Sunderland sitting in the away end at Fulham to see us win 1-0 with an Ellis goal in a league Cup tie in 2017 and showing highlights of the game on Quest that night.

To be honest with every game on iFollow and the ability to watch highlights online I am surprised they are continuing with these programmes. I am not saying they shouldn't by the way! Lots of people still out there who would rather watch a television programme than search out what they want on an app. I only watched this for notable games when I wanted to hear what the pundits had to say - which was mainly Murray and Holloway TBH! That said enjoyed it when I did watch it and can’t imagine watching it on ITV instead. Personally hardly watch TV these days apart from sporting events. Get all my content from on demand services. As for ITV - home of reality tv, sensationalism and drama! Everything has to be made into a mountain from a mole hill. Ads plastered all over the place. Not looking forward to it.

Absolutely right over TV/apps etc. Still loads out there who depend on a traditional TV multi-channel service. Quest got a really good balance with their EFL pundits who really knew their stuff who with Colin M and others made a really good mix. (Even if I moaned about George Elek the Oxford fan at times). I’ll wait to see if ITV can get the formula right but am hopeful. Shame they couldn’t have got some presenters with support in the EFL but so long as they present well.... UTG!

Yes I agree that lots of people still prefer to watch the highlights on TV. I just don't think it'll be long until even these highlights get pushed to on demand / online viewing only by the likes of ITV.

I like Colin Murray and it was a good show, but I've only got on demand TV so I hardly ever watched it. Will be easier to watch on ITV player and I guess it will get higher viewing figures. I think Jules is the woman who presented the Nation's League matches on Channel 4. Let's hope the England curse doesn't effect the Rovers!

Football League coverage has been crap for a while.
I didn't like Quest at all.
Endsleigh League Extra was a brilliant highlights show which ran from the mid 90's until about 2004 on ITV. If they could try and recreate the new show to be something similar to that then it would be great
It used to have in depth features on clubs and with bits of archive footage.
Nice clip of Marcus Stewart celebrating his goal at Wembley v Huddersfield in the intro

Coverage by Roger Malone. 96 minutes of the championship, 4 minutes leagues 1 & 2. But were those the days when we were actually in the Championship (Division 2)? Then we probably wouldn’t worry about lower league coverage. 😉 UTG!
