Does anyone have any idea what the facilities (if any) are like for riding to the ground these days? Looking to peddle down from South Glos for a few games next season, just wondering if there’s anywhere safe & secure to lock up the old peddler.
I’m East Terrace loyal myself, last I recall some dudes used to chain their bikes to the fence that runs in front of the turnstiles/car park. Curious to know wether this situation has improved.

Couldn't tell you if it's the same for cyclists, but motorcyclists now have to pay to park their motorbikes in the ground I believe, a pal of mine regularly rides on his motorbike and was told this season you have to pay to park.

I usually cycle to the mem, unfortunately the facilities certainly at my last visit (may) were not great. There is one bicycle parking section next to the Memorial gates with enough space for approx. 8 bicycles (at a push!) I'm not aware of any other designated area, but know railings down the side of the east terrace entrance are also sometimes used but not official parking, so there is a risk of removal.
Hopefully the club do look to expand on this in the near future given the push towards environmental awareness and of course with fuel prices I expect more will chose to travel by bicycle too.

Not sure about cyclists (although I think (but am not 100%) there may be a small bike rack by the turnstiles), but the club issued Comms that they now are using Vehicle Number Plate recognition and that parking on Non Match days has to be paid for - this is to stop people using it as a free car park when they weren’t actually doing anything at the club… on match days the club already have details from the sold / allocated spaces so that is dealt with differently and isn’t affected by what’s been brought in - although I’m guessing that people won’t be able to just transfer their match day space to their mates without informing the club… think it’s been brought in to also help avoid double booking of parking and misuse of the car park by some ?

I’m sure the missus will be up for this, as she always seems to be on her menstrual cycle.

I just lock up on Gloucester Road! Obviously be great if the Mem did have a bike shed of some sort but it would be taking the space of something else I guess.

Would be great if there was said facility. Nothing enormous but a bike shed of sorts somewhere out of the way, that could possibly accommodate a fair number of bikes. As you say, it should be encouraged & for those not too far a field cycling to the Mem on a decent day of sunshine would be spot on.

As the other posters have said, there are basic facilities for cyclists at The Mem. The only official bike rack is just inside the car park entrance, and most games they fill up pretty quickly. I would like to see the bike capacity increased.
I cycle to every home game from Patchway, so happy to answer any questions.

Im surprised the electric scooter and bike companies dont have a drop off point at the stadium. (Or do they already ? )

Been cycling there for 20 years never a problem. Lock it against railings behind the Centenary Terrace/ Family Stand.
