The club has said the E ticket system was highly requested so out of interest which method of season ticket do you prefer?
I’m not a fan of being sent a ticket 7 days before every home game. If it was one email that was your season ticket on the one email Maybe that wouldn’t be too bad.
I personally prefer though the physical season card.

‘Highly requested’ by ticketmaster maybe.

‘Highly requested’ by ticketmaster maybe. I certainly can't imagine that many fans contacted the club especially to request it. I would have thought it will generate more work for Ticketmaster, as there are bound to be gliches each time - tickets not received etc, whereas once the season cards have been sent out, that's it for the season.

I wonder if they changed it to the E ticket system as they knew they weren’t going to get season cards to people on time again? So went with this alternative. Because it seems like a last minute decision. I had Pete on twitter the ticketing guy under 2 weeks ago saying he’s arranged that I will get a replacement season card as I changed stands so he wasn’t even aware of it in July.

I look after 4 season tickets, mine, my father in laws and 2 boys. 4 emails to monitor, this is just going to be a pain.
As said before, replacement cards can be issued for those fortunate not to have been forced to move (ironically, fans are being forced into the seats we were forced out of!) - why can't we simply have a new card.
It's not an anti technology stance, it's just for my convenience.

Early days I know, but the next home game, as per my ticketmaster account is Shrewsbury on 27 August.
Doesn't bode well.

I actually e mailed back last night asking for cards instead and got a very short and curt reply back just now so clearly the club won’t be listening here.

When organizations make these kind of changes they always say it's following customer feed back, it's usually nonsense and is invariably done for the benefit of those who champion the change.

Why not make something so simple so difficult.

It would be interesting to find out how many if any on this forum contacted the club and requested e tickets, it would give an indication of how in demand they are, or is the club lying. I don't want them as it forces me to take my mobile phone into the stadium for every match and forces those that don't have one to get a smart phone, and how will young kids who's parents don't want them to have a phone pay?

I’m well keen on e-tickets but not necessarily at the expense of the physical card. Especially so if they need to be received weekly.

I can see why the club are bringing in e tickets, at West Ham if you are a season ticket holder but can't get to the match, you go online register that your seat is available as you cannot attend, then the seat goes up for general sale for that game so someone else can have it. If you do this you get a discount off your next years season ticket. I suspect this is what the club intend to introduce.

Looking at the West Ham forum, it seems that if people can't attend, some print their match ticket and "pass" it to somebody else to use. Money in your pocket, or a discount next season - you decide.
