I see we are charging Oxford United fans £30 for the privilege to sit in the away tent. Can’t just be me who thinks that is too much? Especially these days with the cost of living going up and up. As a Gashead who travels to a few away games, I tend to try and avoid away fixtures at that kind of price. I suppose there is the terrace option, but it’s still £25. www.oufc.co.uk/news/2022/july/bristol-rovers-tickets/

I'm going to be sat in there for one game this season and for that money I will be unbolting my seat and taking it home with me.

Same price that Gasheads pay to sit there… Well my thoughts on that are a) That’s pretty extortionate for home fans, let alone away fans. From memory it never used to be that price. b) Travelling fans don’t get the luxury of season tickets that make these seats £15 per game from a season ticket (an example) and they don’t get choice to sit elsewhere either. c) Travelling fans come from further away so spend more on travel than your average home fan. I’m only raising this because there is a recent push to keep away tickets at £20, and getting on board with this might help Gasheads too, if other clubs reciprocate this for us. Plus, away attendances could be lower if we’re going to up the prices like that. Let’s be honest £30 for sitting in a tent to watch a tier 3 game is too high for anyone.
