I am going with the wife on Saturday to the game celebrating 34 years of marriage, this is our anniversary date. We have season tickets but she hates football, and has had to endure lots of football over the years with me coaching youth teams both girls and lads due to children. Any where anyone recommends for a vegan meal on Saturday before game we are coming from Weston. Yes we are not Forest Green fans, and they do a good selection but are Vegans for health reasons.

Depends how close you want to be to the Mem but there are a number of Vegan themed restaurants around the junction with Zetland road further down Gloucester Rd on the way in.

I dare to think what the vegan option is at the Mem.

Koocha, Seitans Corner, Purezza, Cafe Kino, and Omni Burger are all on the Stokes Croft approach and all good options, and Oowee is just off there too. There are also several others along that road… The Mem were selling the Vegan Rollover Hot Dogs 🌭 last season which were decent but you need to go to the food stand early or they sell out. Vegan pies there were hit and miss last year 👍

Which stand will you be in Saturday? As I hear that stuff causes flatulence and it's bad enough in the Thatchers already with the cider and pastys 🤭

Which stand will you be in Saturday? As I hear that stuff causes flatulence and it's bad enough in the Thatchers already with the cider and pastys 🤭 it's both quite funny and also a misconception about going veggie / vegan that it's going to cause you to be gassy. Actually, quite the opposite. I chose to go kinda "flexitarian" a number of years ago, and actually I hardly fart at all any more 😂. In fact, it's when I eat meat, and dairy products that actually I get a bit of wind. Not sure who started this myth, but it probably has something to do with those working in the meat and dairy industries lol!!

Went with my daughter for lunch to the Coconut Tree, Glos Rd, really good Sri Lankan veg/vegan options. Very enjoyable. Happy Anniversary!
