I’m getting a little annoyed with the club apparently being dictated to by the SAG (never heard of them before end of last season) regarding all Mem capacity matters.
It’s really not making the overall trip to mem all that enjoyable. Is it just health and safety gone mad or is the mem from a safety standpoint that dangerous?

There's a simple solution to this, get some decent facilities like every other club has managed to achieve. It's only gonna get worse. And still the silence prevails!

The bar is decent, and, as can be seen from the photograph, there was no issue with capacity, so no need to deny entry to people outside.

No issue with us paying attention to the SAG.
I get the feels that we’re having to play ball with them as we’re in the bad books for all the pitch invasions and incursions that we’ve experienced recently.
Personally I’m glad we’re going after people standing in the walkways because it’s bloody annoying when you can’t get up the stairs to go to the bog / get a pasty because Derek and his mates are having a chin wag right in the way. That said they could be less draconian about it.

My take is I’m happy ta see so many folk there in th first place, th club must be on th up 👍🏼
Queues for things means there’s good demand for drinks, food, merchandise etc an th sheer numbers indicate we are attracting new Gasheads an plenty of young people of all genders - great ta see in ma opinion 👏🏼
I understands a few things need improving, but I’d be more concerned if we had no queues!
Plenty ta learn on an off th pitch, an if las season is anything ta go by, learn we will. Up th mighty Gas!

The new security team were absolute terminators yesterday as well, made for a strange atmosphere.

You are right in a lot of what you’re saying but yesterday match day experience fell way short for a lot of fans & like you mention good to see queues, but will some of those who were getting frustrated with the ticketing situation & the lack of food inside the ground want to attend in the future. Can you imagine when the new arena opens at Filton & on their opening night, half the peoples tickets work & the other half’s dont & when they eventually enter there’s no where to buy food as it ran out ages ago , I am sure there would be an outcry on the events organisation. Definitely not a good day on & off the pitch yesterday let’s hope things improve going forward.

Plus they haven't done a thing about the walkways issue for YEARS possibly longer than the current administration have been here. This idea that the SAG are trying to do anything against Rovers as seen in other posts is laughable and possibly libellous. They have less publicly to do with other clubs because other clubs can run their grounds better.

My season card worked fine the thing I was disappointed with, apart from the result was the big screen clock not working in the first half and not displaying 16 for the 16th minute applause for Nick

I was caught in the crush outside the bar at the end of the game,it nearly caused a riot. A couple of times the older gentleman at the front nearly got pushed over. How can that be health and safety? A potentially dangerous situation caused for no reason! Once inside I counted the people, less than 40,no one at the bar, in fact I've never known it so quiet. They must of lost out on lots of revenue. So my experience yesterday was, season card worked for me, not for my friend, the cashless bar was only taking cash, only one pump was working so only lager available (they did manage to sort both issues in the end though). Then the problem getting into the bar after the game. Bit of a shambles really.

My problem with SAG is that it’s literally their job to find things to criticise and deem unsafe, Rovers as a club need to chose when or whether these things should be implemented. For example standing at the front of the Thatchers Terrace it worked fine for years and gave parents a safe place to stand with their children, why was this all of a sudden deemed unsafe?

Because it's an FA/EFL rule, I assume at some point a fan has been injured and now insurers are refusing to cover grounds which still allow it to occur. Perhaps we are kicking back a few of the changes SAG are suggesting but have to implement some of them.

Anyone else’s season card not work? The bloke on the turnstile let me through anyway, but abit concerning? Hopefully I get a response from the club before the Oxford game. Mine didn't work. It was a replacement for my South stand ST from last season. I wanted to have an Eticket but obviously did not compute when I chose that option.

Probably better to guess an incident has occurred that has led to a fan being injured and then second guess how insurance companies respond to an incident which may, or may not have, happened in the first place!! 🤣

Ah yes, thanks for the reminder.. I need to e-mail Rovers to find out why that was. When I arrived at the Fanzone there was a long queue to the ticket office. Heard rumours that people's cards weren't working at the turnstiles so they were being redirected to the ticket office to get etickets printed. I assumed these were the people that had received etickets even though they had season cards (and I had not received an e-ticket). So I joined the queue at the turnstiles right at the last moment. Then my card was flashing red when I dabbed it. Fortunately the turnstile operator just overrode it with a white master keycard to get me in - presumably if it wasn't so busy & close to kick off he would have sent me to the ticket office too! (some people I was in the queue with were saying they had spent 45 mins in the queue to the ticket office to get e-tickets printed - and I don't think they had been e-mailed them in advance either!)
