Attendance was 9,064. Before the season started we were told that the capacity was 9,870. If you then take off the 300 reduction in the Thatchers End for the first 2 matches, the capacity should be 9,570. So in theory we could have sold 500 more tickets for today’s game. Hope this gets sorted for the Oxford game and for when the capacity goes back up. Lot of spaces in the Thatchers End and empty seats in the SW and South Stand.

There were several spare seats in the East Stand.

The live group were great but the music over the public address system will scare anyone over 40 off!!!! Dreadful row. Amused at the Bing Bong man who asked someone to move a 'Vauxhall Golf'.Think he was subbed as a lady who replaced him with her BMW announcement.

If there were no tickets to sell beforehand it was a sellout, don’t think your taking account that besides the 300 capacity reduction, FGR only sold 800 out of their 1150 allocation so there’s another 350 missing from the grounds capacity. When you say there was empty seats, that happens at every ground as season ticket holders don’t always attend due holidays, illnesses or other commitments.

School holidays have started, I presume that some season ticket holders will be away at the moment, especially as the season has started earlier than usual.

Keep reducing the capacity it will always be a sell out! How did you get on at the turnstiles? Any problems or did your season ticket card work ok? Any thoughts on today’s game?

We had to reduce capacity in line with the SAG recommendation (or at least chose to). Once due to regulations and twice as a slip on the wrist for pitch invasions and other incidents.
Then whilst home may have sold out FGR may not have.
We’ve probably lost capacity due to the new dugouts too which you can’t see through any more. Whereas you had a fair idea of what was happening the other side before. Reducing viewable capacity on the east side.

Anyone know what the row between a few fans and the stewards on the Thatchers was about? Looked to be getting quite heated and security came over. It was towards the front so wondered if it was to do with encroachment on to the yellow lined ‘no go’ area?

Not their fault, they were obviously given incorrect instructions. Told the guy to walk through crowd instead of walking through yellow area.

Crikey - I thought that was what the yellow area was for, a walkway? Surely they should know that.

That probably explains the shortfall as my ticket didn't also work, apparently there were loads queuing at the ticket office with similar issues. Problem is the club could say the issues now fixed but you won't know if it has been or not until you turn up for the next match.

None of our season tickets worked, I had a feeling it wouldn't be plain sailing so took etickets as back up, paper copy for my dad & both myself & daughter had ours on our phones. Typically that didn't scan for me either so had to go to ticket office with what seemed like half of the original queue !! Really felt sorry for the ladies in the office, it was all a bit of a mess

And it was an existing ST, not a new one. Being the 'belt and braces' cynic that I am, I'd copied off and brought 'just in case ". Still, it's the club I've supported for 52 years, so no problem.

Total attendance given out by club includes all season tickets and match tickets bought wether they attend or not so that figure given out was capacity for the day that the club had obviously set.
