Just an example of the large clubs in our league. The top three EFL attendances from match day 1 . We're all in League one. Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich Town all had bigger gates than anything in the chamionshit.

Until today when Sunderland’s 40,000 blew them all away. But your point about big clubs in League 1 is completely true.

The fact they are in L1, two of them for at least the consecutive season, suggests that attendances alone are not the defining reason for success?

I saw Bradford City got 19,000 to watch a 0-0 draw in League Two. Considering how much they've struggled recently I thought that was impressive.
Also Plymouth Argyle got 14,000 in their recently refurbish Home Park. An indicator of what we'd be getting if we upgraded the facilities and capacity?

Braddy Donny local, so expected large draw but Plymouth have a bounce... great effort from them. Redevelopment of the Mem would see something similar. Whilst there put a moat around the pitch and fill it with crocodiles to please many here too ..

3 big clubs get big crowds in Sunday Sport London Bus found on moon shocker.....
Be more amazed if Accrington Stanley got in excess of 5000 3 games in a row.
That said, we are a long way short of a big fish in a small pond, even a small moat containing crocodiles / Alligators .....

Three sides of Home Park were rebuilt 20 years ago in 2002. Only the main grand stand has been recently refurbished.

Seems to have instilled a feel good factor there again.

Hardly surprising when you take their history and previous success , in times when you had to be a good manager and not just open the bank account. All 3 have many die hard fans, like us but on a larger scale

Good on Bradford as they have priced tickets really well and it always makes it better when you get to pay less. They are a great example of how to get more fan, watching games.

This thread is pointless. Rovers capacity, because it spineless in how it deals with SAG, is now apparently circa 9,000 and the club currently sells 9,000 seats / spaces. That's it. We need Wael to tell the supporters what happens next and when. I guess until, the training ground is finally finished nothing is going to happen on either rebuilding the MEM, or building a new ground.

We have got away with many issues over the last decade as the licensing authority were treating us softly due to our promises of building a new stadium. It looks like their patience has run out and they are now enforcing issues to the letter of the law.

SAG / H&S concerns cutting ground capacities throughout League One.
Cambridge have had their capacity cut by 20% to less than 8,000, Port Vale capped at 7,900 for home fans and yet have 5,000+ seats unavailable, Sheffield Wednesday's capacity set at 33,000 yet in their Prem days sell outs were in excess of 40,000, Ipswich fans moaning as the SAG there say home fans cannot occupy seats beneath the away fans on safety grounds, Oxford away end reduced by 300 due to safety concerns and additional netting for segregation and on and on.
Can't all be getting reduced due to our fans behaviour, lol, but for whatever reason SAG / H&S beginning to put the boot in to clubs and it will be impacting revenue of many clubs and like The Mem on Saturday a sell out doesn't mean a full house any more.
