We will surely have the youngest defenders in League 1?
Joey proven he can get the best out of them, good luck young man, if you fill Taylor’s boots we will have done well

Another CB - someone of the Grant mould who can play across the back line - and I think we’ll be in a good place.
An attacking midfielder or two to replace Anderson, Thomas and Nicholson.
Then a few promising faces to top it all off.

Assuming he starts tomorrow, along with Connoly, Gordon and Hoole, the average age of the back 4 will be just over 20
That must be close to the youngest Defence Rovers have ever fielded I'd imagine

Good pedigree. 7 years at Newcastle and 2 at Everton.in youth career. England youth International, most recent in 2019 in under 20's, 4 appearances. 3 recent loan spells. Look forward to seeing him in the Quarters. Cost Everton £6mil when he moved from Newcastle.

Trought etc. That was one of the youngest teams we ever fielded if I remember correctly. Got a creditable 0-0 draw too.

The 'let's start' part of this Tweet and how early in the day it is tells me there will be one, maybe two more today!

I don’t know why but I was thinking the exact same , let’s hope we’re right , could be a busy day , I won’t be getting much done at work as I’ll be constantly hitting the refresh button 😂

Just checked and our back 4 that day was Stephane Leoni(22) Steve Foster(23) Mike Trought(18) and Trevor Challis(23) So Mike Trought brought the average down to just over 21. So assuming that will be the back 4 tomorrow it will be younger. The rest of the outfield team that day was Lee Zabek(20),Jamie Shore(21),Rob Trees(21), Guy Ipoua(22),Jamie Cureton(23) and Jason Roberts(20) So the average age of that team away at Man City was just over 20. So, yeah that has to be the youngest team we've ever put out, surely?

Lewis Gibson will wear the number 17 shirt.... What other typically defensive squad numbers does that leave, anyone?

But yeah, that team vs Man City must be one of the youngest ever.

Lewis Gibson will wear the number 17 shirt.... What other typically defensive squad numbers does that leave, anyone? None that I am aware of... 2. James Connolly 3. Lewis Gordon 4. Josh Grant 5. Alfie Kilgour 6. Sam Finley Not sure any other squad numbers are typically defensive? Once you go past 11, it seems to be any number for any position.

Your traditional 1-11 are all taken now apart from 7 and 11 which suggests two attacking midfielders left to come. Didn’t realise numbers 12+ had any meaning to them. 7 was being touted as being Thomas’ to come back to but that would be a surprise now. Imagine McCormick is lined up as our 11, with his old 14 gone.
