Really looking forward to this one tomorrow. Initially, when the fixtures came out, I thought Oxford at home followed by Barnsley away would be a really tough test so early on in the season but the win on Saturday has given me confidence, along with JB’s positive words in the press. Barnsley haven’t got going yet this season, but they have quality in their ranks. I can see Coutts starting in place of Whelan, who was outstanding on Saturday. Other than that, I’m not sure whether JB will rotate. Hopefully we will have good numbers making the journey to South Yorkshire and some points to bring home.

Will be a good test, predicting a 1-1 draw. Anyone know what time a signing can be made up until, to allow for them to play tomorrow (night) ?

Every chance of beating Barnsley who haven't started that well on the face of it. Would take a result all said and done - but feeling hopeful we might sneak a win...

To be fair their start hasn't been too bad.
They lost 2 tough away games at Plymouth and Derby but won their only game at Oakwell and beat Middlesbrough in the cup.
On paper they have a strong squad that should be capable of a top 6 finish so I'd be very happy with a point, particularly as we still have work to do in the transfer market.

Probably a good time to play them, expect them to be challenging this season. Norwood and Thomas playing add some interest. Would take 1-1 but winnable if we can kick on from Saturday! Belly Anderson Hoole Connolly Gordon Finley Coutts/Rossiter Saunders Evans Collins Marquis
Possible Gibson comes in at CB and hoole plays RB tho.

I'd be happy as a pig in sh** with a point to be honest,do we ever do well there? 3pts would take any pressure off the pompey fixture, not that I ever expect much down there either.

With pompey away on Saturday too I'd be happy with 3 points from these next 2 though away games rather than 2 draws so a defeat tomorrow I can take providing we get 3 on Saturday! But.... I think beating Barnsley right now is more likely than winning at pompey. Norwood and Thomas will be playing for them tomorrow night and I'm sure Joey will be hell bent on making their evening as difficult as possible! I'm going for a tight 2-1 win for the Gas!

I’m surprised with our past results as thought it was a. Lot worse. Optimistic for a 1-1 draw Just hope Thomas doesn’t decide to put on a MOTM display

I’ve come to Barnsley a day early to meet up and stay with a uni mate, the pub we’re in are cleaning the lines tonight so are handing out free pints. We could get battered tomorrow, and I’ll still feel like I’ve won.
