Who is Nick Higgins? I felt so sorry for Eliot Richards having those goals chalked off

I often wonder what would have happened to Richards if that match hadn’t been abandoned. Would things have clicked for him infront of goal with that momentum?

Unfortunately, with what happened to him, I think it would have always been difficult to have truly kicked on regardless. The main thing is he's alive and well and that's what counts

My dad was sat with the home fans. He’s always maintained that the lightning was at least 4 miles from the ground.

Christ, 10 years. We were rocking and rolling and in total and absolute control when it was abandoned. Wycombe didn't touch the ball for 35 minutes, (apart from restarting 4 times) The lightning was definitely closer than 4 miles though

What I still don't understand to this day, (well I do as it was politically motivated to abandon the match) is:
Why not just wait 35-45 mins until the storm had passed?
Safely.

Ah yes, the day that lightning hit the away stand, yet they kept the away fans in there anyway.
