I don't think for one minute we will re sign him but let's break this down and look at him as a player who we could potentially have at league one. He's been to 3 of the best teams in Britain and is still only 33, he's local and started his career with us, he's bar far better than what we already have at the club and if he stays fit will be a class above most in this division! I'd take him in a heartbeat but my worries are 1 his fitness 2 his wages and 3 does he still have the hunger to play the game as I'm sure he is minted by now.

I feel as long and the wages are right and it's a deal until the end of the season. I can't see why we can't take a punt of him and as long as he's fit and stays fit. He an improvement on what we have. Not sure what side Sinclair plays on but Harry Anderson off it today. Not sure if he way playing through pain, but his frist touch and decision making was way off the mark.

Some people really go to some lengths to excuse Barton. So now no one can be attracted to Bristol Rovers? Can we forgive Garner now for the squad he pulled together as no one else would come 🤣 No we can't forgive him.

We do not need Sinclair, we need an experienced centre back!

If Sinclair was on the cards, today will have quite possibly made him think twice!

We do not need Sinclair, we need an experienced centre back! There’s a lad called Kilgour with league experience that is available with local ties

I can't see we need another forward player has creating/scoring goals doesn't seem to be the issue, my priority would be defenders, a CB or RB, followed by a DCM. Agree. With so many injury prone defenders there is no harm in trying to find an older out of contract CB with a league experience. Someone to sign on a one year deal, not necessarily to play every week but to fill in when needed. A bit like Whealan last season (when he's playing as a CM that is, not CB!)

We do not need Sinclair, we need an experienced centre back! Don't necessarily need to have experience. Connor and Taylor barely played a league game, before playing for us last season. If they are not injured, that would be a start!! If Connolly and Gibson were fit, they look like they would be more than his enough. The player from Burnley looked ok as well. 2 of those 3 together and we would look a different side. Mark Hughes and Max Ehmer were both supposed to sort us out and a lot of fans said they were great signings! They both worked out well🤣.

Agree with those who say that Scott is not what we need right now, we all know what we need and so does JB, pretty sure he and his staff are busting a gut to find the answer, suppose Scott could do a job aka Wally Waters?

We do not need Sinclair, we need an experienced centre back! I agree with above comment. Fortunately we have the leagues top scorer and Loft who is on form. Also we have Marquis Saunders and Coburn ( injured) who scored 5 in 20 at championship level. So we are strong in attacking options. However : we have 4 centre backs. Two have never played at div one level : one will not be fully fit until December and Alfie. We lack an experienced pro who can guide and advice. There must be a CH on a free unattached. We will not get away at this level putting right backs and mids at CH.

I agree and have been saying this since the beginning of the season, we need a Steve Elliott, Tony Craig type of player who knows when to put a tackle in and guide the youngsters. Connor Taylor did well for us last season but we don't have him now and are in a higher division with much better teams. I know we had experienced defenders under Garner but he was a crap manager, even Alfie K was allot better player until Garner got hold of him.

Well this all went quiet… guessing that if it was a seasoned pro looking for a last few years after a successful career then they may have decided joining a (current) relegation scrap isn’t what they want at the end of their Wikipedia account info? Fingers crossed it’s still an option that could help strengthen us and our results see an upturn as we could do with some additional depth, talent, and experience

JB's view is he doesn't need an experienced CB after his success at Fleetwood and with Connolly last season, although it could be he just got lucky signing two very good youngsters, I can't see Thomas is in the same bracket and Gibbons seems injury prone.

After yesterday's performance, if Barton is still in talks with a free agent....I hope that agent takes him quickly away from Mem!? 😋

Barton also signed 34-year-old CB Charlie Mulgrew for a loan spell at Fleetwood.
