Another moan, but the new pies are horrendous, what happened the company running the pasty huts for the last few seasons?

Another moan, but the new pies are horrendous, what happened the company running the pasty huts for the last few seasons? Food it shocking - A couple of weeks I had a flat past stuck to the wrapping and I had a jerk chicken wrap at halftime last Saturday that was cold with a long sharp bone it it - £8 too Getting a beer is very difficult before and at halftime - Need a much bigger bar

Can't fault the burger van in the fanzone, they do a decent burger and chips, and usually have 3 people serving (don't think you could fit anymore behind the jump).

If the bars that are provided by the club have long queues then yes, more staff although it might be an issue getting staff for a couple of hours work for when the majority of supporters arrive. The external caterers is a bit more complex. They pay the club for a pitch which really only has a couple of hours to make money. Expect it takes more than a few minutes to set up. Can't really blame the club for how they set up. The away end has a covered bar. Tent, terrapin whatever. It has a roof so can only be a good thing. (Note FGR remove the 'Attwools Ale Bar' when we play them) Did anyone see if there was protective netting during the warm up by the scoreboard on Saturday. Think there has been a couple of incidents - one definitely- where away fans have been hit by wayward footballs. A bit different if you're 'in' the ground where you are actively ball spotting. Was there any external caterers on Saturday? It looked like we had brought everything in house.

I'm actually swimming against the tide on here and say well done the club for implementing a cashless system that sometimes doesn't work, long queues for nothing if you like lager, cr@pper food and bar people that sometimes have no clue in what they're doing.
It's encouraged me to spend more time and money on what is the bounty of the Gloucester Road.
Where, my custom is appreciated a bit more, and have familiarity with staff and landlords, have bumped into more folk I haven't seen for a while.
You get a glass, change from £20 for 4 pints and guess what...? Options to pay cash! What's not to like!?

There were a small amount of 'others' there at previous games

They seem to want the custom and make it easy to buy drinks. Unlike us who have the special forces on every gate and making it a mission to get to the thatchers bar at half time. Let alone buying a drink.

Must admit to quite liking the new pasties. However the only place I have bought pasties in my lifetime where the pastry on the pasty becomes part of the paper bag its served in. An absolute joke and begs the question why is it happening, especially considering the extortionate price we pay for the privilege. Was anyone on here invited to the pasty/pie tasting in the close season when the assembled so say voted for the latest supplier? There was nothing wrong with the piglets sausage rolls, the best I've ever tasted in spite of caterings best efforts to cremate them. I would suggest the club selected the new supplier, not the fanbase at a tasting session and that was because it was the cheapest product that they could make the biggest mark up on. As regards the fan zone it's not rocket science to know a tent is required for the winter months especially considering the away fans have been provided with one since the start of this season. Why one has not appeared as of yet is anybody guess and if what I an hearing about last Saturdays fiasco is true, it won't be long before the large crowds of previous seasons return to the likes of the Welly for their pre match tipple.

As a real ale drinker it looks rather dry and like another tent, time the club pushed forward with modernisation plans as it’s beyond a joke now. A tent in the fanzone wouldn't be the worst idea once the weather turns... Tents at a football ground you say? That is something we have been good at in recent years...
