As a side note from the poor performance today what’s happened to the fan zone? Took 40 mins to get a drink, the burger van shut at 2pm, people bringing in their own drinks as ran out of lager. Who took the decision to take down the temporary bar? Just one portacabin with no pre poured pints, people will just hit the pubs before games in coming weeks.

That's a shame, travelling from a bit further afield I rely on getting my lunch at the ground, the burger van was a real plus but I don't get there before 2 very often. I also like the coffee and crepe stall, which hasn't returned this season - I guess that may be a bit of an odd one for most football fans though.

There was a coffee stall but not sure if it was the same as the one you’re talking about from last season. All that was available food wise unless you wanted a croissant was the jerk stand which isn’t my cup of tea so I popped in and got a burger from Irene’s kitchen. Which wasn’t up to its usual standards.

Terrible, queued 20 mins for a drink, gave up in the end , 1 girl serving on 1 hatch , no lager , no food , shambles, everyone saying they will go back to the welly , or bring there own, the club really are going downhill fast, football and catering, the ground is bad enough, surely the least they can do is make It as good as possible and raise some money for the club, by serving quickly and having some decent food available

I got as far as Saltford today, then turned around as I felt guilty about leaving my poorly dog on her own, watched via i-player with a home made Latte.

Queued for 5 minutes at half time in the fan zone and got a cheeseburger which I’ve got to say was delicious. Probably overpriced at £6 but still cheaper than I’ve paid for at music festivals this year, and much nicer.

I saw that on Twitter, it was said by the catering manager Ian that there was a fault with the gas to the catering trucks which was why they shut at 2pm.
The ticket machines didn’t work and neither did the team selection so all in all it was a bad day all round.

To progess the pros and cons section off of the pitch, the tap, soap and dryer worked in the blackthorn end all worked for perhaps the first time in living memory! However, I'm bringing blue paint v Cambridge if we are still spelling gravy with an E!!!

I said exactly the same on another thread. Absolutely amateurish yet again . 25 mins waiting to get a pint is a joke and I won’t be bothering anymore . How hard is it ( it’s not 🙄 ) to sort out a system for serving customers in a fast & efficient way ? Just typifies the whole experience of watching the Gas at a rundown unfit for purpose tatty old stadium.

Wouldn’t it be better for the club to provide a bar in the home fanzone area similar to the one that they have for away fans.

If the bars that are provided by the club have long queues then yes, more staff although it might be an issue getting staff for a couple of hours work for when the majority of supporters arrive. The external caterers is a bit more complex. They pay the club for a pitch which really only has a couple of hours to make money. Expect it takes more than a few minutes to set up. Can't really blame the club for how they set up. The away end has a covered bar. Tent, terrapin whatever. It has a roof so can only be a good thing. (Note FGR remove the 'Attwools Ale Bar' when we play them) Did anyone see if there was protective netting during the warm up by the scoreboard on Saturday. Think there has been a couple of incidents - one definitely- where away fans have been hit by wayward footballs. A bit different if you're 'in' the ground where you are actively ball spotting.
