St Paul's Carnival event once a year production which struggles to raise enough funds to ensure event takes place. Surprised they can offer a sponsorship deal with a football club?

Slightly odd take, if i may say so! Dont imagine they will have paid much at all for this, but both parties have had plenty of "free" publicity from it. Imagine the shirts will sell well too, keeping the great PR (and some cash) going!

Expect COVID has not helped them with funding the last few years.
But as someone else said, always look on the darkside of life!

But in a similar way Bristol Rovers Football Club lose millions each year but support where they can a fantastic Community Trust which helps many people and elevates our standing as a club. St Paul’s Carnival is not just about finances it’s about so, so much more to those who attend it and support it.

St Paul's Carnival event once a year production which struggles to raise enough funds to ensure event takes place. Surprised they can offer a sponsorship deal with a football club? Every year the Community Trust offers its front of shirt sponsorship of its away kit completely free of charge to another charity or CIC that has similar ethos and values to our charity.Previously we have offered tne sponsorship opportunity for free to ‘Her Game Too’ and the following year ‘Pride’. Both those shirts are now permanent exhibits in tne National Football Museum. Hope that helps clear up any misunderstandings

I suggested years ago Rovers should have a float at the carnival.
Good work Gas Girls and Rovers!
That shirt should sell loads!
