I usually watch on ifollow. Been watching the Palace Academy documentary series, so will be interested to see if any of those lads feature, and how they measure up. For us, I hope that a few players can get some minutes in their legs, without picking up any injuries

Yes Tilly, that Palace academy programme is a good insight to the game at that level, the numbers involved are astonishing, so many youngsters all with the same dream, most of whom don't quite make it, tough to take at that age, and tough for the coaches to break the bad news but all relative to the problems some kids have. I know folk make light of this competition, but it is one of the few chances fringe players get to make an impact, so it does have a purpose.

Has there ever been such an unorganised real protest, against the arrogant power grabbing greed of our glorious Premier?
We (bar a very few) said "no thanks".
The fewer in attendance the better as far as I'm concerned.
Edit. Having said that 🙂,I imagine those coming back from injury,or not getting a game lately, can get a run out. Josh Coburn eg.

I’m still boycotting it because I hate the idea of -23 sides in our league structure and I think the FA and Premier league would still want to do this if the financial gain was there and they thought fans would support it. So far the crowds have been well below that they used to be when it was just league 1 and 2 clubs which I think is good. Shame they did what they’ve done though I used to enjoy the crappy cup.

Feel a win tonight, with exciting performances from the likes of Jasper and a solid defence - plus a first look at Coburn - would set us up for the huge game Saturday. 3-0 gas!
Repeating my suggested team on this chat..
Anssi Hoole Thomas Gordon Anderson Coutts McCormick Clarke Saunders Loft Jasper

Repeating my suggested team on this chat.. Anssi Hoole Thomas Gordon Anderson Coutts McCormick Clarke Saunders Loft Jasper That's a pretty strong team. I don't think Barton will want to risk the injuries. Especially with the problems we've had in defence this season

Looking forward to attending. I do enjoy seeing Rovers competing against Premier clubs under 21s.
It is an opportunity for Jasper, Coburn Lawrence and Greenslade to see how good they are.
Interested to know when Conference clubs were introduced into the associate members cup did fans boycott it too ?

I would rather sh!t in my hands and clap than watch our heavily rotated team play Palace youth in a competition they should have no place in.

With the cost of living spiralling out of control this type of pointless game will get even less attendances I should imagine , so hopefully this sad excuse for a cup competition will get revised and put back to how it used to be , like yourself, I used to enjoy this competition

Give the youth a run out with first teamers needing minutes.

Will lose money on this game burn lots of electricity on floodlights The big boys will offer to pay the match costs! They threw a load more money ar it last time there were rumblings of discontent at their presence.

They threw a load more money ar it last time there were rumblings of discontent at their presence. The reason they are in it is purely down to the money the EFL clubs have received. When it 's a straight choice between what's right and money, money always wins the argument.

The match comes at a good time to give returning from injury players game time and Coburn and Jasper a platform to impress JB, really looking forward to watching it after an entertaining Exeter match UTG
