We totally bossed that one today. A really assured and deserved win.
Loft, Collins, Finley...magnificent.

I thought Luca Hoole had one of his best and most mature games today.

Funny how we all see things differently. Luca is a fine fullback but ,for me, when he plays in the middle he is very weak in the air. Cambridge won far too many headers against him and it could have ccost us.

Well that was a great day out! For the most part a very calm and competent display. I thought rossiter was quietly brilliant at mopping things up when needed, Flash Gordon looks great going forward but a tad lightweight when one on one defensively. Ryan loft continues his perfect imitation of an over enthusiastic spaniel, despite every setback he just doesn’t stop trying which is fantastic. But the stand out thing for me was us getting a goal in the sixteenth minute in our first match since nick andertons operation, on the day with his collection going on! Roy of rovers level of loveliness ❤️

An evening with Sh1!heads returning from brum in the best pub in Weston this evening. That went well. Cardiff are there biggest rivals. Then Swansea.
Our biggest rivals r Newport 😂😂👍.
Joeys a lady garden.
Landlords a palace fan (love you mate if it gets back to he 🤷🏿♀️)
Thinks Joey is dis respectful to young kids.
Wife beater.
PSG front liner.
When they listen to what Joey says (via me) they get it, not by media execution with a 1 line headline.
Maybe if other managers were a bit more open and honest then will see a change in everything wrong with football these daze. Players and officials. Another blatant pen missed by only 1 person.
Coburn was quiet today but on 3 occasions got ball to feet and ran at there defence and looked un stoppable.
Next Elliot Anderson we hope. Another great loan signing🤞 by the worst manager to be the 2nd most vocal manager in our history. ( still have you back D.C but not yet).
Backing Joey 4 as long as he can stick us and the media.

"the best pub in Weston" where's that then? Wetherspoons is a classy pub for there 🤣

Assume Conelly will full into position and play alongside Thomas. Gibbons and Hoole to rotate.

Well done Gas.
We absolutely should have been 2 up in the first half, not sure why ref didn't give the handball.
Really controlled the game I thought, we looked well balanced; Formation, playing the right players, subs in the second half were sensible to see out the game.
Roll on Tuesday. Back to back wins won't do us any harm.

Well we showed we can defend yesterday and there were some encouraging returning performances for key defenders. One or two hairy moments but we got there.
A few baffling substitutions and shape changes that caused a degree of sorting out between players on the pitch taking messages from on coming subs. I felt the obvious change in the last 15 was giving Lofty a rest, he was blowing after a fair shift and it really should have been Harvey Saunders coming on to tear it up amongst their backline. What does he have to do to get a run out? Never lets the team down and brings energy.
3 points the most important thing over performance especially with even the village team winning!

Just got back.. Whew.....on the Glos Rd at 10.30am doesn't do well for your health! ...or wealth.
*Hic!*
ON TOUR!
Well well well, a reversion to a back 4 reaps rewards....? Who would've thought it? That's what it looked to me.
A much needed confidence boost win against regular run of the mill division test. I think Cambridge will end up bang in middle of bottom half of table and never really troubled by relegation.
My m o m Hoole. What an important player he's become? This time last year he'd broken through the regular playing of first team, was m o m on his first few games, only to be inexplicably dropped. We went into last season worrying about about rb rwb position because Rodman had vertigo....now it's Hoole hitting the heights, and fast becoming an undroppable component in an every changeable defence. Good on ya, lad. His goal, questionable....but it should his vigor and enthusiasm.....all wrapped up on the 16 min applause for NA.
Quick mention for Coburn.... welcome to the Gas and a debut goal. Hopefully, the first goal amongst many.
He couldn't have done it without support...so while Lofty was having an impromptu match with many things not working, but still trying to pull off the holding up ball, flick ons, his running was immense....and Finley (close m o m) was supporting everyone; creative in triangles and battling, Rossiter (the fastest improved) breaking up play....it was the slick move of Aaza that provided the assist and always looks dangerous and first name on teamsheet for me. His passing and movement, his dribbling and confidence to go past his man makes some of the admission fee worth it.
It added to balance to play 2 big fellas up front. It felt right, rather than dysfunctional. It might not be correct every match, but it genuinely flummoxed Cambridge....whom brought a few down and made some noise.
Belly definitely gave away penalty, but have to say amazing through ball to pick out the run of his teammate, perfectly weighted, deserved some recognition.
A good win on an unseasonably warm day in Autumn with boat load of cider on board .... What's not to like? *Hic!*

Sam Finlay said an interesting thing after the game. Was on about how they dropped deeper than they should have after dominating early on. Said that was probably down to confidence and that'll change with a few results.
I'm looking forward to a bit of momentum and shooting up the table before new years.

Now you mention it, it was probably his defending in wider positions and on the ground that caught my eye (did he move out the RB later in the game?).

That ref was f**king terrible! God knows how he missed the handball, but got the bookings for dives right. Also very lucky that both he and the lino missed the two shirt pulls by Flash when he got skinned by their winger in the last 5 mins.

That ref was f**king terrible! Thought he was ok mostly, Collins booked correctly for diving yet again, the guy just needs to stand up. I suspect he goes down easy and accepts he wont get away with most decisions. However, it makes his markers wary about touching him as they dont want cards ,pens or goal possible freekicks against them. This then gives Collins a little more space to do his thing.

Another part of the game copied from the Premiership which you wish the authorities would have cut out. Collins going down on purpose when it was just as easy to shoot is plain odd.
