…ta Pete Weymouth.
we often moans an criticise folk at th football club, so timely reminder praise is good 👍🏼
Th guys a real gem imo, when he arrived he put his whole heart inta th club shop, over th last year he has had some real f**k ups ta deal with that we’re nothing to do with him an he’s taken much abuse along th way. Thru it all he’s worked hard an helped many folk with great communication an understanding, answering, emails, tweets an constantly trying to keep th fan base up-ta-date even when there was little ta no official help. While others appear ta hide, he stands up.
Well done Pete..top guy 👏🏼

Do me a favour then, next time you talk to him can you ask him if the club have any plans to recognise the Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Card in the club shop or whatever? I emailed Tom Gorringe about it ages ago and he said he’d pass it on to Pete, but I never heard anything after that. It’s just a way of giving a little bit back to serving and former members of the Armed Forces & emergency services.

Excellent shout Big Jock. Pete has always got back to me quickly re. season ticket problems, he was kind enough to send me a goodie parcel when he heard of my illness, and checks in with me regularly - above and beyond his job remit, I'm sure. Yet some supporters are stupid enough to abuse him for the ticketing changes, and resulting problems.

Pete Weymouth is a legend, always tries to help if he can; currently helping me sort out a MEM car parking ticket, onsite and in the shop for 16 minutes buying two tickets for the away match at Ipswich, and CP Plus Ltd / GroupNexus send me demand to pay them £62.50, they will never be getting a penny from me.Utg

This one always brings out the "experts" but this is Citizen's Advice official guidance.
Your options if you get a parking ticket on private land
You could decide to:
pay the fine do nothing challenge the ticket. Parking tickets on private land aren't a criminal matter. The Parking Charge Notice might look like an official fixed penalty from the police but it isn't one. It's a notice that the owner of the land or the private parking operator intends to take you to a civil court, and will offer to let you pay the charge to settle the case out of court. This is a civil matter, not a criminal one.
If you decide to pay the fine
Sometimes the parking operator will offer you a 'discount' if you pay the charge within the first 14 days, for example a charge of £50 instead of £85. If you miss the deadline you might not get another chance to pay the lower amount, unless you can argue there was a good reason for missing it (e.g. because you were in hospital).
If you decide to do nothing
If you get a ticket for parking on private land and you don’t think you should have to pay, you can decide not to pay and not to reply to the parking operator. The company may continue to send requests to pay and you could continue to ignore these.
Private parking operators could take you to court, but they may choose not to do this, as the amount of money being demanded is usually quite small.
Keep the ticket and any other paperwork or evidence.
If the parking operator does take you to court, you may be able to defend this, for example on the grounds that the signs in the car park were unclear.
A court may decide that you breached a contract with the parking operator and that you must pay the charges. You should remember that if it goes this far, you’ll probably face a higher charge than the one that was originally sent to you.

About five years ago received a notice from a car parking firm ref a carpark in Tenby. My car was shown leaving the carpark on camera. I had inadvertently entered one wrong letter on my reg plate into the machine when I paid the fee. Did a bit of research discovered the carpark was on land owned by the local church who had engaged this national car parking company to run the carpark for them. What did I do. Found the email address fir the vicar of the church, emailed him first hing on a Sunday morning with my complaint. He replied right away before his morning service and told me he had cancelled the notice!

We were given one at a pub in Clevedon,we stayed longer than we should have, this was due to the pub being busy and we had to wait a fair while to get and eat our meal. Sent a e-mail to Greene King explaining, they cancelled it straight away.

Pete Weymouth is a top guy who is a great ambassador for the club.
I had a meeting with him recently as I’d had an issue when renewing my season ticket and gold membership - like several others Ticketdisaster had offered me membership at Spurs so I had declined. This was at Earlybird renewal time and although I’d had an immediate reply to my email at the time it hadn’t been resolved. The first reply wasn’t from Pete and was sometime before Northampton away when my memory goes a bit hazy. Not just the celebrations but my Dad died the day before the 7:0 end to the season. Had to postpone a booked trip to New Zealand and the cremation couldn’t happen till nearly the end of June. Then we took the postponed NZ trip and missed the first home game so sorting the Gold Membership wasn’t in the forefront of my mind. When I did get round to it Pete replied next day and asked if there was anything else. When I said a few things that I felt were spoiling the club’s image he replied in minutes asking if I could spare the time to come in and talk things through?
I couldn’t not go in could I?
What a nice bloke. When I arrived he made sure I signed my vehicle into the car park. I had always provided my registration to Supporters Club when I parked at The Mem for away games but never realised it was needed for the shop during the week. Interestingly my registration wouldn’t register at first! Pete took over and was lucky third time. I was on my motorbike so it hadn’t crossed my mind about parking restrictions, never paid to park my bike anywhere, even Wembley. Maybe the parking company just haven’t bothered when I’ve been to the shop before and not registered?
Anyway, Pete listened to my moans and my ideas and explained the issues they are having with the season tickets - that are the same as happened to few (including me) the first season of the plastic cards. This season mine has been fine.
My main idea is to update the whole system so that other games besides League Games can be loaded on your card - also Pre purchases of food and drink. I believe that is what I saw at QPR last season but I’m not sure. Anyway, Pete said he knew it wasn’t possible with our current systems but he would look into it for the future. I believe he will but as he said “after the season tickets for this season are sorted”.
Observing him sorting out a problem for one of the other staff that had to interrupt our meeting I noted the respect he has for others and gets back in return - I just wish all the fan base would behave like him. The vast majority do and he realises that but I saw one death threat on Twitter towards him over the season tickets and apparently that’s not the only one! Really?!!! Apparently it’s not just on Gaschat that abuse gets out of hand. Pete hasn’t hidden his mental health issues in the past either in what I think is a very brave attempt to help others. It’s good to hear Big Jock and others helping Pete with a bit of praise for a change (and hopefully all is well after the Cambridge game).
