I have to say when we first signed him he was unfit and totally useless but end of last season and the start of this season he is a completely different player runs his ass off battles like a mad man and chips in with goals fair play to him obviously working hard on the training ground he’s a real asset to the team

Or perhaps we just need to give players their chance to bed in rather than writing them off after 10 games?
Collins was the same. Coutts. Lots of people writing off Rossiter but many were complimentary today.
The digital society where everything has to be fulfilled at a moments notice and impatience is there until results are delivered.
Sometimes you have to wait for something good to happen.

Couldn't put it any better myself. After today you might add Gordon to the list.

Lofty and Coburn up top changed the game from the start of the 2nd half, we had them on toast! Rare to see a big Rovers front pairing like that working their socks off a terrorising an opposition back line.
Lofty was a workhorse today

I did see a post on Facebook slagging him off today though!! Saying he was awful and shouldn't be playing🤣

As always there are those who do not give a player time to settle in and yet are prepared to criticise others for writing players off who have been given plenty of chances and are not good enough because they are "one of our own". I trust JB to get most things right and Loft was obviously a lot better player than people thought scoring goals for an awful Scunthorpe side.

Lofty has had an amazing transformation this season even his heading ability seems to be improving.
If JB can get Marquis scoring goals that we've got some strike force now we've also signed Sinclair.
Not that long ago our only recognised striker was Hanlon!

He has some good skills as well as being a handful, great finish against Swindle, even surprised Joey.
You don t come though the spurs academy without being decent, such a willing runner with a great attitude.

Loft was brilliant in the first half when we were average. 2nd half he was unplayable. Defences are scared sh1tless of him Josh and Aaron. Love it!

Now see I saw Ryan as a bit o a baller when he signed with an eye for goal, but th key was what Joey saw. I think he saw a player that he he could get hold of with our coaches an make much better, ta do that was gonna take time, it must have been frustrating for th lad las season with so few chances, but fast forward thru a full Pre-season, a few pounds shed, fitter, stronger an straining at th leash ta be let go an we have th much improved Ryan Loft we have todae. I admire th lad, he’s put in th hard yards an is now reaping th rewards. I love th kid.
I kinda liken it ta Rickie Lamberts move ta Southampton, they knew they had a player they could trim down, speed up an improve.
Lastly, th back heel yesterdae, better than Mbappe’s th other night (jes sayin like) 👍🏼

I have to say, he has surprised me this season. I really like his attitude above all else- he puts himself about and really puts in a shift. However, I feel that he's not great with his back to the goal and too often, a long ball doesn't stick or, the defender easily out jumps him. I think we are better when the ball is on the floor anyway but I would say that Coburn might be better under the long ball if we have to go that route. Having said all that, Lofty is a fan's favourite and is definitely worth his place in this team- the back heel yesterday was sublime and shows that the guy has real talent. Plymouth talking about long ball merchants must have been watching a different game to me- there is no point just tapping it around and then relying on two shots from outside the box. That won't work every week- we cut them open several times in the second half with neat interplay, something I didn't see them do.

Still only 3 appearances mind, away to Vale, Coventry & Bradford. Lofty going to be one of the biggest bargains in our recent history😁

I think Joey sees Loft as a longer term project as well (I’m sure he said something to that affect when he signed) so there could be a lot more to come from him, which is exciting.
