RIP anyone that thinks Hoole is good enough in this team😂😂😂😂😂 The one player that didn’t feature Wednesday night. Wow. Lessons learned by JB today. Same goes for McCormick, what a waste of money. Still, I said last Friday I’d take a point from 9 and we’ve taken 2, total surrender aside. Bring on the Fleetwood! (Back on the train already) Hoole is still young and should be good enough to compete for the right back spot, even if he's 2nd choice! McCormick hasn't been here long and it's still young as well. Bet you wrote off Loft, Lambert, Roberts etc. He did well last time he was here and did will last season. Player's looked jaded today. Couple of yards slower than normal. Glad we don't have a league game for 2 weeks. Like Kilgour, you’ll still be saying he’s young and promising at 26! The lads been outmuscled & bullied all day, his decision making shocking from the off. Also a fan of lofty since day dot (unlike most) not to mention the other legends you mention😄 As I say, Barton has learned plenty about his squad today.

The biggest joke is that Derby were in financial difficulties and yet are allowed to put together a team of quality players. Hoole is not good enough and Gordon struggles defensively. Saunders and Kilgour may as well go in January. Still think we have a good side when all are available. I think it was the sewond goal that looked a yard offside.

That 1st half was an absolute disgrace Us Gasheads that travelled feel properly let down after that. Why not just straight swap Connoly for Gibson and Sinclair for Lofty? Hopefully this is the last we see of Luca Hoole as a Centre Back. Proper f*cked off! Can’t say that Gasta, academy graduates get a ten year ‘settling in period” apparently 😂😂😂🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

Remember please...whilst its apparent Luca isnt the best for centreback ...He was the only choice as Connelly wasnt ready for 100 minutes yet. Also he is not purposely doing things badly lets not bully him . Just recognise ,centreback is something he isnt good enough or strong enough to do currently.

It was evident from the start that the players were run out. Unfortunately there isnt the squad available to keep it fresh. The boys did try hard but nothing came off. I would be surprised or worried if we see Luca at centre back again.A second choice right back fine, centreback no..too weak . Playing on the left his passing was slow and telegraphed leading to Derby realising he was the weak link and they exploited it. Why when he could play the ball forward he chose to pass behind Thomas towards the corner gawd only knows . That lead to Thomas being on his wrong foot and trying to turn to pass to Belshaw. Mcgoldrick jumped on this and stole the ball. Then scoring from an angle you would expect the keeper to save from. Still Belshaw cant be expected to save every shot. Keith Brookman i assume wasnt at the same angle as the cameras for that late Evans freekick. Seeing the keeper way out expecting the cross he shot at the near post missing unfortunately...a foot the other way and its 4-3 the keeper in no mans land. Knew this would be the hardest game and it was. Still plenty to be positive about though. Connelly came on and showed what a good centreback is supposed to play like. Sinclair had some excellent touches ,especially in defensive positions. The overall lesson...we are five players short of a promotion chasing squad. Good post. I agree about being 4-5 players short of a promotion-chasing squad, but then that wasn’t really the aim for this season was it? I will be dead happy if we finish in the top half or middle of the table, as this means we’ve made progress and can more than hold our own in this division. We’ve got important players like Aaza, Evo, Beefy etc tied down to long contracts so with the right recruitment in Jan & next summer, we should be able to put in a substantial challenge next season. It’s all about taking a longer-term view now, in my honest opinion.

I did comment when I saw Hoole in central defence that I feared the worse, both him and Gordon were out muscled in that first 45 minutes of a car crash performance. But we looked tiered and disjointed after what had been a very good run of games, unfortunately today was a game too far. UTG

A few weeks ago everyone expected us to get hammered and wouldn’t have had much to say about it, this team has put us in a position where we’re now disappointed to lose a very tough away game. It’s always sh** to lose games but nothing has happened that we should get to down about. Back home for a month now. Utg

I'm not bullying him, at Right Back I rate him very highly. But he aint a Centre Back.

Everybody's blaming Hoole but when did we last play a right back at left CB plus wasn't Thomas making hat trick man McColdrick anyway?
Today's game is a bit like the Lincoln match, we'll just have to quickly forget about it and move to the next match, with both the cup and league matches looking very winnable. If we can survive in mid table to January we could push if JB brings in a couple more good L1 standard players and we stay relatively injury free.

Just got home from watching the game in Germany
Calamitous defending and individual errors lost us that game in the first half. Hoole is not a centre back and Thomas had a shocker.
Tough week and today we came apart.
Move on, one to forget

Completely agree regarding Derby's finances, supposedly broke yet a front 3 who will all no doubt be on championship wages. Don't agree re Hoole though, you seem to have an agenda against anyone who comes through our youth system. He was part of a poor 45 min performance from the whole side defensively very harsh to pick him out individually. Physically he got bullied today but he's more than good enough to play in this side, admittedly not yet as a centre back but he's a more than capable right back at this level

Kept saying at the time McCormick was way over priced at 250k

A disappointing day, however, I'm happy with the outcome for October, it's never going to be all plain sailing. Been a tough 8 days, and some of the players looked a bit jaded, sure they'll be back on form after a bit of a break.

He’s bringing nothing to this side, would’ve taken him as a free but the fact we’ve paid money for the lad😫Wimbledon are in hysterics

The defence had a shocker.
First goal - Woeful pass by Gibbons, Hoole then takes himself out the game by attempting a challenge instead of holding position. Both equally culpable.
Second goal - No marking whatsoever. Free header, unchallenged tap in. Not sure which players lost their men.
Third goal - Hoole again attempts to win the ball and fails instead of staying in position, allowing their striker an opportunity to get his shot in.
Fourth goal- Poor, unnecessary ball by Hoole to Thomas, who then decided to try and play his way out instead of clearing the ball up field. Got robbed, 4-1.
Mistakes from Gibbons, Hoole and Thomas cost us the goals but Gordan was equally poor and both him and Finley played us in to trouble more than once.
Bad day at the office, too many players didn't perform and we got what we deserved.
Connolly for Hoole and Sinclair for McCormick next week, assuming all the injured players are still out.

His career could still go either way. He's an under 21 international.
