In case someone is thinking about presents for Christmas, the SC are selling two books.
Along the lines of the excellent Martin Bull books during the DC period, a fan has independently written a book about his views on a game by game basis of last season. I think it costs £6 (not 100% sure though)
Jamie told me that the author is donating £1 from each sale towards the SC's Nick Anderton cap donations.
Don't ask me why the club didn't officially release a book, I am sure it would have sold like hot cakes.
Keith Brookman also has a new Archive book due out soon, which you can pre order from the SC match day shop, which I think costs a tenner.

It maybe only a small thing but the official FC website has promoted Keith's book.
It is not often a SC initiative gets mentioned there (if you listen to some, the advertising of Nick Anderton bucket collection was only to cover that the club dithered).
Little acorns........(or if you are cynical, they want an easier ride on Thursday).

With respect - A positive thread spoilt by both of you getting your usual digs in at our football club. If you’re trying to help the supporters club progress under their new leadership you really are going the wrong way about it and forget how they got in this mess in the first place.

Seems to me the Supporters' Club has retreated, traumatised, after past events with Ken and Jim, and is now sticking to organising coach trips and very little else, unless it's all hidden and they are doing great stuff in their roles on the Board.
Which of course we can't know about because it's all non-disclosure, I've read on here.
Weird.

Will Joeys Mrs buy Ian Holloway's new book for Joey for Christmas? I'm half way through reading it and he has only mentioned us once so far. Would I recommend it? Not bad as a present from Santa. Not compulsive reading but interesting

Agree that it is strange/wrong that there is no feedback to supporters from their reps after a board meeting. Appreciate some matters are quite rightly confidential but surely there must be some info that could be passed on?

Sure it was mentioned in a recent BRSC update that the reps had attended Board Meetings and had been warmly welcomed or words to that effect.
Bit pointless though if there is zero feedback.
