If Bristol City have lost £198MILLION since the start of the century with a bigger stadium thats also used by Rugby. How do Rovers intend to become sustainable. Matchday income obviously does not cover being a championship club.
Perhaps its better to be a yoyo club in a smaller stadium that has other incomes ?

But they have made some very poor decisions and bought in players that have not performed. No wonder SL is now actively looking for outside investment or even a buy out, if the terms are right

Something has to give at 1982ltd .

Matchday income obviously does not cover being a championship club. Perhaps its better to be a yoyo club in a smaller stadium that has other incomes ? I guess that's the million-dollar question (pun intended). Do you spend big on the hope you'll make the premier league, or do you live within your means and hope somehow you fluke it. I think City's current player wage bill is something like 210% of income, most clubs in the championship are around the 200% mark. So, no clubs are sustainable without rich owners dipping their hands in their pockets and when that runs dry, they go bust. Look at Derby etc. It makes the whole financial fair play a joke really. In relation to this topic though the more matchday income you can get the better and with higher attendances comes better sponsorship deals etc. I think any hope for a sustainable Bristol Rovers that can compete is fantasy stuff. Thank goodness we have Wael.

A bit late and exactly what I have been going on about, another 200 seats have become available in the South Stand (presume returned from the Posh). The trouble is most fans have already purchased tickets for other parts of the ground or are not going to borrow. They should have gone on sale Wednesday or Thursday. Need to press away teams to let us know in good time.

£5 entry - I guess they will have made good money on food and drink etc. Brilliant. With no Prem or Championship games I'm sure they tempted quite a few to go along.

I’d bet a 5 note the 8k atmosphere at the Mem today crapped all over the 16k at Meadow Lane as they limped to a goalless draw against the Glovers.
Which btw, Radio Bris were going on like Yeovil won 6-0 up there😐😐😐😐Weird.

The only frustrating thing today, was to look over to the Thatchers end & see that even though it sold out days ago, there still looked like there was room for a few hundred more. I don’t know if Tom Gorringe reads this forum but if you do, try & get this comfort policy relaxed & enable more fans to enjoy & use that area.

I was in there and there’s definitely room for at least another three or four hundred.
